There is a difference between loving halo and being a fanboy. Halo 5 is fun, but it needs to be improved. It needs REAL dlc maps, and MORE gamemodes. It shipped with an appauling lack of content.
But I still want my Cowboys to get better, Just like my favorite game franchise.
People who don’t want people to complain about games will ultimately destroy them.
I’m one of a few that love it I guess, I own tons of halo merchandise, it’s the game I have the most fun on with friends
“Complaining” and suggesting things that could change or get better are two totally different things
Fanboys are literally whats killing Halo. The only way a game improves is if people identify whats bad about it and the developers fix the complaints. If everyone was ok with the current state of Halo, then Halo 6 would literally release with only 3 gamemodes, and the campaign. If no one is pressuring 343, then that will incentivize them to act lazily because they know they can get away with it because their player base is clearly fine with getting less content for more money.
Some people complain because they don’t like the game, they’re wasting their time. Most people complain because they love Halo and care enough to voice their opinion to try and help the developers improve the game. Its important that opinions be expressed so that the game can be made better.

Maybe because his favorite gamemodes aren’t in, he played the beta. I play everyday, to get my win packs. The fact that its taking them 4 months to get the first new arena map and new game modes is a joke.

You got me, I haven’t dropped $50 on $2 worth of content.
But I do play it enough at friends places (too bad there’s no split screen). Enough to know that the game is dreadfully poor in some areas

A lot of posts here are actually commonly constructive criticism. Not that it matters, because 343 doesn’t look here.
I love the halo community, don’t have a problem with anyone who posted above. But honestly would you rather respond to a baby throwing a fit, or a general suggestion. I’m sure 343 is doing what they can.

Honestly I couldn’t take your comment seriously, it’s so stupid. But I’m still going to reply to it. First of all, are you really comparing a videogame to a sports team? Really? Hummm… ok… Not very convincing… I am a true halo fan, and to be honest, halo 5 is probably one of the worst halo games. Is it bad? No, it’s mediocre, which is unacceptable for a halo game. By the way you’re talking you really don’t sound like a halo fan. Just because I’m a halo fan doesn’t mean I’m going to take 343’s -Yoink-. No splitscreen, short campaign with little masterchief, no forge, infection, grifball, action shack or big team battle AT LAUNCH, stupid req system to make money, broken warzone mode, master chief collection was a launch disaster, halo 4 introduced loadouts to copy call of duty, is this really what we want as halo fans? Don’t you realise that 343 has done so many mistakes since they took over halo? Don’t you understand that, AS HALO FANS, we criticise the game because we love it, not because we hate it, we want halo to get better and thats why we complain. Otherwise 343 will keep screwing up the franchise. Why do you think 343 took out these stupid loadouts in halo4? Because players complained, Why do you think 343 gave us halo ODST for free after MCC -Yoink- launch? Because players complained. Why do you think they are now adding grifball, because we complained about it… If you want to “keep the forums positive”, good, do whatever you want, but don’t judge true fans for wanting more from halo5 because it could have been so much better. Don’t forget it’s because of people like us that games get better. Oh and by the way, when a sports team sucks, fans get angry and start to complain, thats why the team gets better, I know that because I’m a montreal canadians fan and I’m not very happy of their performance this year.

See, what you’re thinking of isn’t a forum. It’s a hugbox. A forum is a place to discuss all aspects of a game, good or bad, with many different people contributing ideas to the general betterment of the game. There’s a better name for what you’re describing, but I think that’s a no-no word. Also, what you describe isn’t a fan. It is a fanboy. A fan is someone who enjoys a game/series/whatever. A fanboy is someone who blinds him/herself to all flaws and throws rationality out the window to defend something to which he/she has an unhealthy attachment.
My point exactly the last two posts, you two are fanboys. You basically just proved it. And yes I compared it to something else people have a favorite of. A different hobby. Get over split screen. Trolls, yay. Discussing aspects. Good or bad is one thing but completely going off about it is another. I never said there wasn’t any problems with the game, I simply enjoy it how it is with the new updates adding more to the game.(which may not be what everyone wants but still)
Let’s look at what 343s challenges are though, like come on. Of course everyone wants those game types. ( yes they should’ve been in the release) but at the same time they have to make the maps work for the game types, infection isn’t infection when you can have people that will manipulate the game or maps.
Then youll have posts about how infection sucks, when they rushed it out because the community wouldn’t stop complaining
