If you want me to play spartan Ops

Please make it run smooth.

This means no lag when I play with friends. (inb4 connection) I have stellar internet. Most people lagged regardless in coop firefight and campaign.

Reach’s coop firefight was ruined by the constant lag even with good connections. Even with a perfect connection there is still always a subtle controller lag that I cannot tolerate. It’s unplayable.

I don’t know if this has been addressed but please please make fixing this a priority before anything else. All the pretty graphics, story, and challenging AI won’t mean -Yoink- if I am lagging 24/7.

I rarely experience lag in firefight when playing with friends.

Maybe you and your friends could look into getting a better connection. Also have a look at this thread if you’re having problems with your connection to see if it can help.

God, I remember co-op campaign in H3. That was horrendous, even CE:A is barely playable and that’s only between two people.

inb4 means there is no need to bring it up as I have already addressed connection. In reach’s firefight there was always in the least a little controller lag. I find that unplayable.

Also if you rarely lag, that just means you pull host often. Consider yourself lucky.

Well I can’t think of any other explanation. Reach’s firefight plays perfect and smooth for me, most of the time, on Matchmaking and all of the time with friends. What else could it be?

It’s certainly not the game’s fault if other players, such as myself, can play without lag in Reach’s firefight mode.

If all else fails, you can play split-screen or run it solo.

But I agree. Co-op, Spartan Ops and campaign, needs to run as smooth as possible.

You pull host.

We need… ahem

“Dedicated Servers”

I hope it does lag, it just makes it hard to even want to play.

Amen preacher. Amen.

Typo?

That doesn’t make sense…

^^That is some bad connection their.

I understand what you are saying. But if the problem is just “a little controller lag” than I think you (everyone) can wait for a post game patch.

I never lagged really at all in Halo 3 because the game forced me to be the host due to my good connection, but in Reach it tended to lag a lot more but most of the time the people I played with had the worst connection you could ever have.

Suppose to be doesn’t lag.

If you pull host it doesn’t lag in coop. That’s because everyone is receiving information from your xbox.

Yes, I agree. Fiber with 40 mbit upload, 60 mbit download and 12 ms ping is horrific.

Yep firefight and MM co-op campaign sometimes had wicked bad lag, not all the time but sometimes. Hopefully 343i has SOps running really smooth.
