If you thought cat ears were bad

Well some of that sounds encouraging for the people that want a tongle. It only makes sense to have one in my opinion and good business sense. As I’ve said many times, having silly stuff in a game appeals to some people but it doesn’t appeal to other people and it can actually drive people away. As I’ve said before if you don’t believe me go on Reddick go on some of these social media forms you’ll see it. The goal here is to have as many people playing as possible and if having a toggle makes it so even five more people play the game that’s what you want as a company.

Thanks for posting this, I’ll watch it all later. I look forward to seeing 343I official statements And what’s to come.

Sounds like good news to me Fox. More personalised experiences sounds like the potential for more variable customisation.

Including a suitable toggle. Insert Palpatine “good goooooood”

I guess, but they do make the comment that they want to allow people to show off their Spartans to other people too. Which could be seen as an argument against a toggle.

We’ll see.

Yeah that comment specifically had me worried they were talking about adding in a bunch of crazy skins like Fortnite.

I do worry that the Halo i fell in love with over 20 years ago is gone for good. I had hope when Infinite was announced and they talked about a return to the classic art style only to go directly against that and have all sorts of armors that just do not fit the Halo Art style.

So…

I can’t talk about some of the things TMC said in my DMs here, but I’m going to tell you that this is quite incorrect.

Wow. Lying about me now to benefit your argument? I don’t know what your objective is. We had DMs, but I was never anything close to mean to you.

Edit: In fact, even if you tried to use anything or publicise or whatever. Not only is that morally questionable, you’d only further prove that I have zero problems with people identifying any kind of way.

And also to note we’re seriously getting off topic.

Oh I didn’t say you were mean, TMC.

I wasn’t disrespectful either

lol bro, check your ego. You were confused, I corrected you. Wide or narrow, only one of us is using their personal definition here and it aint me.

Style: (defined in the perimeter of art) Style is basically the manner in which the artist portrays his or her subject matter and how the artist expresses his or her vision. Style is determined by the characteristics that describe the artwork, such as the way the artist employs form, color, and composition.

Thing like industrial, aliens, flowers, science fiction, cats, sky, mountains, grassland, marine etc fall under “theme of art” or “subject of art”

Take the lower case “L” here and move on. Or keep trippin, up to you.

Halo 4 and 5 definitely moved far far away from the traditional art style. You’re right there. IDK if I’d call them more cartoony, but those games definitely have their own distinct art style.

@ExMOSBoss It’s ok dude, your crush agrees with me.

My god, I hadn’t thought about warrant officer grade three in ten years.

That’s dope about Halo 2. That game really sort of burst Halo wide open, took the scope of Halo CE and just split it wide open into this massive space opera in an amazing way.

It’s funny, at the time (I think I was 10 when it came out?) I remember that I would just replay those missions; outskirts, metropolis, then delta halo and regret, again and again. Now I’m so much more invested in the overall story and the arbiter, but at the time my focus was SO narrow. Clearly I haven’t gotten over that entirely. I’ll admit that to this day I will NOT pick up covvie weapons in the campaign unless I’m totally out of options.

Thanks for the good discussion. I think a key takeaway for me is that I’m not so much opposed to other folks multiplayer cosmetics as I am simply disappointed in and somewhat uninterested in the multiplayer. I love the challenge, and the mechanics are great, but I’m a lil nerd at heart and escaping into the world is so key to me. It’s probably more productive for me to be pushing for more campaign content and pve modes than arguing with folks about cosmetic toggles that, frankly, are almost guaranteed to never come in a game that depends so heavily on cosmetic mtx.

Cheers! See you on the battlefield.

I’m confused, is the definition of style you just presented not just your personal definition/opinion? It seems to me like “industrial” is a commonly accepted “art style.”

I’m glad we agree about the change in art style going into 4 and 5. I say cartoony thinking particularly of explosions, its the only way I can describe the difference between the explosions in 3/Reach and the ones in Infinite… they look almost like they are intentionally made of paint to be less violent.

But I don’t wanna get too far off topic.

Yeah it sucked nobody ever wants to think about that one ever again.

IT WAS SO GOOD IT’S STILL NARRATIVELY THE BEST ONE!!!

The Arbiter! He’s so cool! Rtas! He’s so cool! Also he’s hot. I love Elites. I love The Covenant - they’re so cool! The Banished are a cool DECONSTRUCTION of The Covenant too - we need a Playable Banished character BADLY, I WANT to know what their culture is ACTUALLY like. Lemme’ be a neat Elite or a rogue Spartan or something, come on!! Lemme’ know what is UP! People care about The Covenant BECAUSE of Halo 2, no other game!

Your loss, the plasma rifle is still great and the carbine is a SLAYER.

That’s valid, and thank you for the discussion too! You’re cool.

Me too! I’m a sci-fantasy writer, I’m big into escaping into an interesting world! Or, really these days, using a fictional world to deconstruct that which I live in - my writing gets very political, thankfully.

That seems logical!

Skål!

You are confused and that was not my definition. That was just the definition. You’re choosing to die on this hill.

Do you have any idea how many art styles can used to create an “industrial” look? This is like saying “out doors” is an art style.

To reiterate: cat ears, teddy bears, pineapples, cards, and flowers fit into the old art style. They, however, do not fit into the theme or tone.

@ExMOSBoss seems to have turned from a contributing member to a master baiter who hides in the shadow. I wish I had an OF 4 you. At least you could tip me.

Funny thing as someone who has went through it multiple times i only hated it the first time around lol

Especially since i figured out a way to cheese past it lol

I remember the target locator glitch.

Nah my method was go into grifball as at that time people treated it like a place to goof off lol

Which in turn lead to giving out lots and lots of cR and hitting the daily cap easily lol

you… betrayed our trust?

… in grifball?

…you monster.

I didn’t betray anyone lol i figured out longer games equals more credits and grifball was the best way to get them as its quicker than firefight and long enough to get a tons of cR lol

Oh right that method. I remember hearing about that. I think by then I was already at like, colonel.

You can take this to dms at this point
