Are you going to plow through it on easy just to get the story faster than everyone else, or are you going to take you time and play it on your favorite difficulty setting while slowly absorbing the atmosphere?
I’m torn between the two. The only reason I might plow through it on easy, is so I can jump into Forge 3.0 quicker.
How will you approach the campaign, if it’s the first thing that yo do?
With Legendary I die over and over again, completely breaking the fourth wall. With Easy/Normal, I breeze through too quickly to really immerse in the storyline, it’s the videogame equivalent of skim-reading. Heroic is where it’s at.
Heroic is “normal” and that is what I choose to play for the first time through. I also hope to notice differences on the Legendary playthrough that make it more unique than Heroic, and it would loose its appeal if I went backwards by going easier the second time through.
I always put the difficulty on max to get that real feel of the struggle masterchief is up against. It makes the experience that much longer and at the very end its like woooow that was so intense and im glad i invested the time to do it as hard as possible for my first time
Legendary is pretty much the only difficulty that doesn’t allow me to just plow through levels. So, I jump in straight with Legendary as it gives me all the best parts of campaign in one playthrough. I honestly hope the Legendary to be actually difficult, something like the Legendary of Halo CE.
> 1st run through will be on Normal, then going to Legendary.
This^^
I play campaign first. I don’t really care if I am one of the fastest campaign runners on my F/L, I enjoy the experience…then go through on Legendary and nearly pull my hair out.
> Always Legendary first for a variety of reasons.

Agreed. If people played carefully enough legendary isnt frustrating at all. THE ONLY Game where legendary truly gave me problems was halo 2. a few of the chapters in that game were just unbalanced for legendary and you only won by luck or a fluke haha XD
Play through the campaign on Normal, absorbing the general storyline and atmosphere. Then hit up some multiplayer, then return to playing the campaign on Legendary, noticing the finer details and playing the game how it’s meant to be played.
