They won’t, the game could be so good that of blows every other halo out of the water, and even then the haters will just turn on the multi without trying the campaign, they will get killed once, say “SEE? I KNEW IT WUZ BROKE” and then they will come onto waypoint and post about how bad the game is to them. Their minds are already made up.

Indeed, i do have faith, Im just a lot more wary than before since MCC. they have on chance to make it all right. lets hope it goes well
I have a lot of faith in the gameplay, not so much in the game working at launch after the mcc. I already did apologize for my initial anger with the reveal after reviewing more gameplay, though I do think some features either need to be removed and tweaked.

my critiques on halo 3, reach and 4 before those games were released were generally correct. i don’t see H5 being any different. H5 looks so much more enjoyable than H4, though it looks so far removed from the franchise…and not in a beneficial way either
Riddle me this, OP: What if the “haters” are right?
What if “what if” arguments are awful attempts at creating an argument?
The Beta is almost upon us. The campaign is focused on Halo’s story, not competitive multiplayer. If mechanics that have been debunked to be not competitive (or otherwise has a negative impact on competitive play) are still in Halo 5 after the Beta finishes, then of course players can objectively state that Halo 5 will be a terrible game.
For starters, calling anyone who disagrees with the direction Halo 5 is taking a ‘hater’ is ridiculous. Do you honestly think anyone wanted to be disappointed? Seriously?
But to answer your question, its really doubtful anyone will. It may very well be the case that Halo 5 will could be a great and enjoyable game, but its is blatantly obvious it won’t be a great ‘Halo’ game that many of the so called ‘Haters’ want.
Halo 5 being a great game in its own right does not make it any better than a “traditional” Halo game. Its simply different and for many people, these changes are not what they want from this particular series.
I don’t have to play a single game of Halo 5 to know that I will dislike sprint in Halo 5. I have the same issues with the clamber that I have with sprint, in that they both take away control from the player and distort map design. Ground pound is incredibly gimmicky and pretty much only exists to pad trailers with ‘cool’ moments. Smart Scope(and sprint) is just another example of chasing the success of other games rather than any real need. Stabilizer is nothing but pointless hand-holding.
I do like the thrusters in theory, but other than that I am having a hard time finding a lot of new things, that truly add something to the series. Most of it is either change for the sake of change or pitiful displays of follow the leader. Long story short I don’t think anyone will have any reason to apologize, should Halo 5 turn out to be a decent game in its own right. At the end of the day, all 343 is doing is replacing our steak dinner(‘traditional Halo’), with a grilled chicken breast(‘new Halo’). Both meals may be good, but some people will always prefer steak.
Apologize for what? People have every right to be skeptical given 343I’s track record so far. As it stands right now, there’s no reason for me to “have faith” in 343I.
I think Halo 5 will be a decent game, but I’m not hyped and I also believe it’s going to take a ton of feedback to get to that point.

I loved Reach
HaloFollwer puts it right by saying that Halo 4 was a good game but just not a good Halo game
Yes, 343 are having really bad problems with MCC but it’s understandable, right? Plus, this experience will only make them better developers.
And finally, Halo 5. Have faith, have faith that 343 have listened to the community enough to make this a very successful game (I think they have).

I’m not a hater nor a lover yet (the game’s not out)
All I want are equal starts.
There are always going to be haters and there are always going to be lovers. Each halo game adds new gameplay features to try and appeal to all the fans, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. And as a result each game has its own positives and negatives.
But for me personally I think 343 have kind of lost there way a bit. in Halo 4 they added a lot of game breaking features like loadouts, and in Halo 5 they are adding a lot of new abilities from a lot of other games like COD, Destiny and mass effect, (Sliding, ground pounding).
Halo 5 will most likely be good, it will probably have solid gameplay and a good story, but I don’t think that Halo 5 and any game that comes after it will ever have the same feel that the pre 343 era games did. the only exception that I can think off is Spartan assault which I fell is the closest we will get to the original feeling of Halo.
But we still don’t know everything 343 have planned for the future so there still is hope that the community might find one game the everyone enjoys.
