This is a serious question. Everyone I have heard says they hate Halo 4. I am no exception. So what do I do? I went back to Halo 3. It’s still a great game, and has a pretty loyal population. Tonight the population was around 10k (twice as much as Call of Duty 4) and every playlist except SWAT had a good population. It was relatively easy to find games.
I understand you want Halo 4 to be more like Halo 3, but the sad fact is that it’s never going to be. Might as well go play the original.
People who hate Halo 4 should be like this guy. Only difference, is that I love Halo 4 to death. Stop being stupid hypocrites and go play Halo 3 if you think it is truly better than Halo 4.
So don’t complain and try to make the game better? Nice logic there…but no I don’t want to go play Halo 3, I just want Halo 4 to be…as they say it, tolerable.
Why should we, some of the mos hardcore fans, be forced into playing a 5-year old game tthat most of us have played the living -Yoink- out of already and hasn’t seen an ounce of dev support for two and a half years? Dont get me wrong, I love Halo 3, but at this point its simply boring. Ive played every map and gametype countless times, and the game can only stay interesting for a few games at a time at this point in its life-cycle. Most of our friends have moved on, and everyone knows that the supposed “update” to H3 will never be released, as it is the lowest priority for 343.
Meanwhile, the Halo 4 crowd gets a healthy population, weekly updates, weekly add-ons, and a TU and map packs on the way; even though most of these players will move on to the next big thing soon.

I know what you guys are saying, but I dont think they will ever fix this game to what most people want it to be (Halo 3) Take sprint and armour abilities, for example. They’re never going to be completely gone from Halo 4. Even Team Throwdown is going to have armour abilities, sprint, ordnance ect. I’m not saying that Halo 4 is a completely lost cause, I just think it’s incredibly unlikely that 343i will do a “u-turn” with Halo 4.

But, unfortunately, if we don’t voice our complaints about Halo 4 now how will Halo 5 end up any better? I dont bash Halo 4 because I want to see the game changed. As far as Im concerned, the damage is done, let the people who enjoy Halo 4 have it the way it is. My intention is to be heard by 343 in the hopes that Halo 5 can support my style of play at least somewhat more than Halo 4 did.
To be honest, its probably a lost cause. 343 wants the COD numbers even though they will never get them. But hey, I can try right?
I’m just biding my time until Oct when Bungie’s “Destiny” is released with the Xbox 720 (pre-ordered it today). Won’t even bother paying $60 to beta test Halo 5.
> If you hate Halo 4 so much, just play something else, not that hard. And besides, whats to hate about it?
Is that a challenge?
Unbalanced features like Ordinance and Specializations?
Terrible Theater system?
Unbalanced DMR and Boltshot?
A terrible Campaign mode?
Overly repetitive Spartan Ops missions?
Unmemorable multiplayer maps?
Butchered custom game options?
i would go back to halo 3, but the population makes it unplayable. i usually play on the weekends but i still get stuck with people that are too cheap to buy map packs on a 5 year old game smh. that reminds me: better get a few games of reach before the population dies too!

I do. I love it.
But it’s always relieving to expel stress and anger by hating Halo 4.

If you love halo 4, why dont you kiss my ball bag. 343i/Bungie shutdown H2 and let it die, there were still a strong 2000 players that liked playing the game before its demise. Yeah i can XBC and Xlink but i feel if it had live it would be easier to get online with
You can’t just lump the Halo 3 players into this one. I’m on the other side of the equation who would like AAs on vehicles and my own pet Autobot. I don’t hate Halo 4, but I don’t play it either save the one day out of the week for Spartan Ops new episode release. And after tomorrow I gotta find something else and to be frank I could care less if they release a Season 2 because I’ve already formed a opinion that it’ll be the same as Season 1 and that is really okay for me to let go of and look else where for a Horde Mode experience. Maybe I’ll try Borderlands.
Anyways I know why I don’t like Halo4, it doesn’t inspire the feeling I got this morning from watching the Destiny VIDOC. It followed Treyarch and it did so by being unforgivable and mediocre as well as unimaginative. How can I like a Auto Turret when I’ve used a MAV in BF3?
So it’s not just the Halo 3 only crowd angry with how Halo 4 turned out. But I don’t despair and I really shouldn’t bash Halo 4 players and simply let them enjoy their game. Destiny has me interested in seeing where Bungie is going and I’m pulling for Frank and Kiki on Halo 5, that they blow everyone away with what they’ve learned from Halo4 and the power of the next gen console gives them a larger pallet to speak with.
Anyways Halo is Halo you’re going to get some ire and opinions. That’s what makes this Forum so much fun.
