We’ve all heard this saying before, and that’s exactly why I can’t be on these forums anymore. I just hate what this game has become so much. I hate what the community has become so much, being poluted with so many casual players that know nothing of the franchise. So many younger players that will never evolve into better players because there’s no incentive. So many terrible suggestions that are being considered, but the good ones being ignored. So much ignorance… So much stupidity. I can’t handle it anymore.
I’ll be back after the CSR launches.

This wouldn’t bother me so much if you didn’t have the occasional “vet” that comes along and completely agrees with the forum member that’s new to Halo. I know there will always be exceptions to every rule but it feels traitorous (is that word? should be) and leaves me scratching my head.
Anyway, yeah it sucks. End of an era and all that Jazz. At least no one can take away our fond memories of real Halo.
Edit: before anyone jumps down my throat I’d like to clarify something. “Real Halo” is a term I use to describe the type of Halo I like when talking to like-minded people. I’m not using “hyperbole” or “stating opinion as fact.” Both are popular accusations used by the 343 defense team. I have no problem with anyone who enjoys Halo 4. I envy them.

It’s not opinion though. Real Halo was what we had before Reach, when Bungie sent the Franchise into the path it has taken. Before Armor Abilities and before Load outs. Before the modernization of the series. Real Halo was good. It was balanced. It was competitive. It wasn’t this casual based -Yoink!- that caters to bad players and gives everyone a chance to be the hero. There is no skill, as it’s been replaced by luck and host. there is no competitiveness in this social -Yoink-. It’s absolutely disgusting that the most fun playlist in this game is action sack. I hate this. I hate 343i and I hate what this has become.
You’re right, no one can take away the fun we all had when Halo was still Halo. And I’ll keep the taste I have in my mouth for when Halo 5 comes out, and remember that I can’t trust the company behind the scenes.
