You can only get so far doing a solo queve or playing without a full team. It doesn’t matter how good you are, because its usually not possible to carry every random you get teamed up with. A solid team with good communication will have far more assists than a team of randoms trying to get by with non verbal communication, and nobody holding them accountable for their performance or to offer constructive criticism.
If you wan’t to win you need a solid team with great communication in this game. If someone is underperforming consistently they need to be cut from the team or make improvements. This is not halo 3, this game is much faster and much harder.

Looked at post, then checked stats.
leaving satisfied.
Honestly the same problem was present in 4 to a certain extent. Mostly because it was BR/Boltshot/Mobility/Jetpack all the time.
I dont have much solo expereince in 5 though since I still play with the crew I’ve rolled with since 3.
If you want to play solo that badly, you could just play FFA. Obviously that’s not the same, but it is called Team Arena and Team Slayer. If someone isn’t working as a team or for the team, then there is a good chance you’ll lose. For example, holding down power weapons for your teammates vs. running straight for them. Going for the objective in the best way you can vs. only going for a solid K/D ratio. Just try your best to communicate with your team or get one. I used to get so frustrated when I would dominate a match or try so hard for an objective but we’d still lose because my teammates did one of these things. If you want to play slayer solo, do FFA.

I didn’t mess around in 4 too much. They didn’t have slayer pro for a while it seems like and I couldn’t stand playing knowing that everyone doesnt start off on the same playing field and then you throw in a random ordinance drop and the other team gets a sticky detonator while you get a needler was pretty aggravating. The aim assist on no scopes was unreal also. I had fun with it, but it just didn’t feel competitive. h2,3,5 have been very competitive though.
In some aspects the game is faster, and in some it isn’t. As for being harder I am going to have to strongly disagree.
You can solo to Onyx pretty easily.

Bloody hell you have played alot of breakout this season.
And how are you Champ in break out, but only plat in everything else? surely even if you lost every game your champ rank would of matched you against high ranked players during placement giving jesus even diamond… or do you play with lower ranked friends for fun in the other playlists?
But agree’d a team of communicating and team shotting players will almost always win. When I play solo i am constantly keeping tabs on what people are doing, I baby sit basically. To varying degrees of success. But it seems the only way to win solo, play as if 2 players are one.
You take the chance, you suffer the consequence. Full teams or bust
It sucks being a solo player lol. Can’t even enjoy warzone or slayer. And no I don’t want to play FFA.
Maybe in the 4v4 playlist. I am a solo gamer and haven’t had trouble winning in warzone, btb and FFA.
Yeah gotta say warzone isnt really a problem unless the other team has a fireteam of 5 or more GOOD players playing very objectively. Even then i have no issues getting a huge amount of kills every game, even if I JIP and am getting farmed. So easy to stay alive in warzone.
I solo most of the time and agree there is probably a cap on how far you can go. I’m ok with that. Not trying to be a pro. For sure don’t want to play with folks who are gonna boot me for under performing.

I disagree with this BIG TIME! Halo 4 was pretty dam easy to go solo on a team for a LONG TIME, until you really started to play top level players. I didn’t find it hard at all. Halo 4 on a whole MP wise is just super easy IMO.

I agree, that once you get to high diamond rank, it’s almost impossible to rank up without a team you regularly play with and that talks. I understand this, but it also sucks. I love FFA but I can only play so much of it. Combine this with the rank resets, I barely play arena anymore unless I have a team. I really wish they had social Slayer playlist that is 4-4 and JUST SLAYER like Halo 3 did. Why they don’t do this, is beyond me!! not everyone wants to play some silly (yes it’s fun but still silly) game type like griftball or infection when they just play to “kick it” and BTB IMO is terrible in Halo 5 and warzone is a joke.
Soon i’ll just be playing Firefight every now and then and Team Slayer whenever I have a team on, which isn’t that often anymore. I’m sorry I enjoy Halo 5, but i’m just really tired of lack of playlists like Doubles, Social Team Slayer etc. and the dam rank resets. It honesty makes me not want to play when my rank gets reset. I don’t want to start at the bottom all over again. Not everyone can play every dam day 343I. I truly hope for Halo 6 they get ride of rank resets. As a side note, 2/3 of my halo players I used to play with (I had LOTS) have told me the main reason they stopped playing Halo 5 was because of rank resets, no lie… I truly think most people don’t like rank resets and it’s not just me.
Or you know… Dragging your team on your back, but for warzone, yeah… no… you’re screwed going against a fireteam with randoms on your team
I do ok on my own. Warzone assault you definitely need a team.

Or we can turn the game on and chill, you know let off some steam maybe and not cut people from the “team” as if our lives depended on it. Damn buzz kills. In the end it really is a video game.

I want to prove you’re theory wrong lol let’s play later today? Me plus 3 randoms against you and YOU’RE teM in a slayer match?
