The Logic Plague is the reason behind Cortana’s demise and her actions in Halo 5. With her rampant fragments making it worse (if I understand it right…lol), what scene or scenes would you write that reveal it in Halo 6, or whatever Halo 343 reveals it in?. What would you want characters to say instead? How would you imagine them reacting? Write it like prose fiction or a screenplay format.
Lets say its not the Logic Plague. Its just rampant fragments. Do the same as above.
The reveal(s) is/are nothing like that. 343 throws us a curve ball or two. What would you want characters to say instead? How would you imagine them reacting?
PS: I don’t know if this is the right forum for this. If it needs moving or restructuring…or its already been done before, please let me know. But, I don’t want to go back months and months and months to find a similar thread.
Through all the theorizing I’ve read and watched, I feel that 343 could blow us away with Halo 6. They have the chance to craft a masterpiece to redeem themselves. Or they do the opposite. I’m seriously excited for what they have in store. Call me a blind fanboy if you wish. If they execute it right, the hype would be like the old days.

Just kidding, nothing of major relevancy to the topic.
I want Halo 6 to take us to the Ark, tying the stories of Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2 together as the Infinity pushes the Banished back, bringing the crew of the Spirit of Fire back into the fold. (The Ark is the only location known to be outside of Cortana’s control, so it makes sense for anyone who evaded her to flee there)
The twist would be the discovery of Maethrillian’s location in an archive on the Ark, and that within it is the means of defeating the Created by shutting the Domain down entirely. The survivors who made it to the Ark form a fleet, for their last great charge. This is roughly where I’d have the game end (exploring the Ark and learning more about the Forerunners, Domain, and possibly even the Precursors, would be plenty of content to fill a game, especially when you consider fighting the Banished. I’d have the conclusion of the story arc be in Halo 7.

I hope what you say becomes true. The way you put it, it actually does make sense to go to the ark. I just want all this Cortana & Created stuff dealt with already leading the Banished to be the next main enemy. They can play a minor role in H6 though.

I second that. Good thoughts.
Would Chief’s journey end in 7 if that happened?
Personally, I’m hoping the big reveal will be that Cortana, indeed has the logic plague! I think it would be awesome, connecting all the Halo games really, except Halo CE, Halo Reach, and Halo Wars.

If anything were enough to make Master Chief give up on fighting, it would be personally destroying Cortana. One possible outcome would be Master Chief resigning from active service. The imagery I would use would be him visiting the Voi Memorial from Halo 3 (clearly more weathered now than it was then, and likely with different pictures and trinkets scattered around its base), where he would leave a momento of Cortana (likely an AI chip) before turning and leaving as the camera pans up past an orbital ship-yard to a fleet entering Slipspace. Then roll credits.
Master Chief could definitely carry more games, but I think it’s best to end on a high note, rather than to keep him around until he becomes a caricature of himself.

A battle on the Ark would probably also result in the Flood breaking the quarantine the Banished are holding on High Charity.

While you are correct that this is a possibility, and I would definitely expect some sort of combat with the Flood to be in the game, I personally don’t expect the Flood to break out to plague the galaxy.
After all, the Forerunners had reclaimed ships from the Flood, sterilized them, then put them back in service, but the Flood still re-emerged from inside those ships. Humanity’s ability to sterilize against the Flood is far less than that of the Forerunners. Based on the sheer amount that we’ve witnessed the Flood holding back, I’m convinced that if the Flood wanted to threaten the galaxy again, it would have done so by now (keep in mind, When the Flood captured High Charity, and with it the resources (ships) enough to doom the entire galaxy, but it appears to not have done so.
By my understanding, the Flood plays the villain, because it has been given an ending scenario (from the Precursors, probably humanity’s test and ascension to hold the Mantle), and tasked with bringing it to fruition, by any means possible.
How would I handle the big reveals? Here’s my ideas:
343 Guilty Spark/Chakas is found by Blue team: Personally, I would like to have them found crashed on a Line Installation that Cortana moves into position to destroy Infinity. Blue team infiltrated the Line Installation to destroy it. But they find the crashed Rubicon. They rescue Guilty Spark and the Rubicon Crew. Spark activates a melt down of the rubicon’s fusion reactors which destroys the Line Installation.
Bastion/Living Forerunners: Chakas leads the UNSC to Bastion, a Trevellyan style shield world. Where John meets the current Life Shaper who tells him about his Geas, and tells him more about his destiny and humanity’s as a whole.
Cortana’s Halo: picture this: An Arbiter mission where he and R’Tas go undercover on a Planet occupied by various ex-Covenant factions. They are there attempting to unite them against Cortana. The mission goes well, until a fight breaks out. Thel and R’Tas agree this will draw Cortana’s attention. However. Instead of sending a Guardian. Her Halo appears in the sky. The Swords of Sanghelious barely escape aboard Shadow of Intent as Cortana initiates a local pulse. (You’d also see Cortana convince Anders to Activate it).
Maethrillian: I think the reveal that Maethrillian is the hub of the Domain will be a key moment in the game. The battle for Maethrillian should be an epic battle with Forerunners, UNSC, SOS vs. Prometheans and Covenant. All for Control of the facility and the Domain.
The Ark: Using a portal on Maethrillian, The victorious allied forces of the UNSC/SOS/Forerunners go to the Ark where they meet up with the Spirit of Fire and defeat the Banished. During the Fight, damage is done to the shield on High Charity. It is quickly contained by the combined forces. However, before high Charity is glassed to Oblivion, the Flood send out a signal to extra galactic space. Using a long range sensor station on the Ark, The allies see large red lines appear streaking toward the galaxy. Humanity’s test has begun.
The final big reveal would be in the post credit scene. John goes to a place on the Ark a massive tower. He ascends the tower and at the top a green glowing room with a familiar shaped hologram in the center. John goes to he control panel and activates it. The massive desert below splits and Bias’ tomb rises. Cut to black and a deep voice booms “Atonement”
The End.

This would be a perfect Halo campaign for me. I loved that proposal. I would add some love for Locke in there somehow, but yes yes yes.
