I’d choose a Battle Rifle; It would be great for zombie killing, very accurate, and a burst shot! The SAW would be a good choice too.

Light rifle and boltshot.
Reasoning they both make the zombies disintegrate and noone likes getting bit by a half dead zombie and the boltshot could be used to pop heads or shotgun the zombies. Also the light rifle burst fire but singleshot would come in handy.
The Covenant Carbine, hands down, it shoot’s fast, has good ammo capacity, it’s pretty good for unscoped headshots and isn’t as noisy as human weapons.
That or the Scattershot, if a Shotgun is the ultimate anti-zombie weapon, an ancient alien shotgun that doesn’t make almost any noise and desintegrates zombies would be a beast to have. =D

The Sticky Detonator and this is why
I would use the DMR. The gun would automatically move my aim towards their heads and make me kill them in one shot.
Energy Sword - like carving through a turkey, only easier. And more fun, to boot!
(or to limit to an actual GUN to play within the spirit of the original post, probably the Battle Rifle. More accurate than an Assault Rifle, yet more forgiving aim-wise than the DMR. Plus, the 3-bullet spread would be a good choice for penetrating dense bone and flesh, making it a pretty good against undead mooks)

The FIST. It’s typically my ToD so might as well use it for zombies
assault rifle ftw! short burst for zombies further out and going all out on zombies close enough to bite me. since the ar is pretty beast in halo 4, it’s the perfect weapon of choice for me.
The SAW hands down.
And if I could choose a secondary, follow it up with the binary rifle!
Would love to see zombies being incinerated!
