If you Could Name the Next Armor....

So with the past games, there were armor sets that required specific achievements or combination of achievements in order to earn the armor, e.g. Achilles.
Going into Infinite, if you could name a new armor set that can only be earned, what would you call it?
To start off, names like Spartacus, Hector, Perseus, and Leonidas; pulling from the Greek and Roman Mythology are examples just to name a few.
What are your ideas and what would you like to see?

Hades.

I remember hearing a story (not sure from where) but Hades was said to be a deceptive God who promised a mortal the return of his beloved if he would walk out of the Underworld without looking back. The man almost made it, his beloved walking behind him every step of the way, but he had doubt in his heart and looked back just short of the exit and she vanished.

So in a sense you could call Hades a deceptive God with an awful task who may mean well. Spartans (specifically the second Generation) are heralded as Gods among men with the best intentions in mind, who are meant to carry out a very important task that they had little choice in taking.

That’s just me though. Still don’t remember where that story came from.

It would be really awesome if the new exclusive armor would be alternate concept art for Master Chief’s new armor for Infinite. As an armor set that you have to work hard to earn, it would truly distinguish the badasses who grinded to unlock it in a way other armors couldn’t due to it’s connection to the Chief.

As for the name, I would say prototype 117 or something acknowledging Chief.

Could call it “DEMON” Armor.

That’s a good one.
The story you are referring to is about “Orpheus and Eurydice”.

We should have armor customization loadouts and have multiple slots being able to name them each one.

I’d like to see BOTH Gen 2 Hunter variants available- Locke’s prototype armor with his custom Techsuit from the Campaign, and the final variant from the Multiplayer but without the additional colors. So you could have a solid color armor.

As far as new types of armor:
Gen 2 Mjonir JUPITER-Class:
While its development cycle was halted many times, the JUPITER Class armor was tested on Titan. Due to it’s high voltage electrical atmosphere, Jupiter variants employ an additional level of shielding to protect the wearer from high level energy discharges. Most notable is the large energy capacitors located over each shoulder, these energy storage tanks allow for stored energy to be channeled in the gauntlets and boots during hand to hand combat giving off a large electrical burst with each strike, further damaging enemies.

Gen 2 Mjolnir ORION-Class
Developed in parallel with the highly secretive HUNTER-Class, Orion features a more combat attuned sensor system, prioritizing extended combat and survivability above all else. While reminiscent of the HUNTER armor, the helmet features a larger faceplate area for greater situational awareness. The armor itself is more subtle, with reduced snag areas, enclosed weapon magazine compartments, and is finished with a muted grey coloration which -Yoink!- in a reduced visible signature, by both enemy units and even Spartans.

So if you could create the armor, what would you call it?

Actually I’ve been drawing halo helmets for a while. I even designed a couple of my own with their own names.

They all looked good. I especially liked the Cinder II and Aries.

Edit
Adding to reply: “Ares” would actually be a good name for a new armor. In the linked article it states thats, “Ares represents the violent and physical untamed aspect of war”. Probably a good description of what the Spartans represent.

I’d call my armor set simply “Legendary”.

Keeping in the Norse tradition, I’d name the armour
Angurvadal.

Ah, yes, thank you! I’ve been trying to remember where I heard that one from!

Wait, why Norse? The Spartans are Greece references.

Simple, effective, and straight to the point.

Kronos would be a good name for a Armor set

True about the Spartans, but there are numerous references to Norse Mythology in both the weapons and Armors used. Primary example is the “Mjolnir” Armor.
Other examples are Linda’s “Nornfang” Sniper Rifle and the “Gungnir” Armor.

Or better yet check this link: “References to Norse Mythology in Halo”.

That’s cool. Had to look that one up.
If they create a new melee weapon, they could call it that too.
Could also go with “Tyr” or Odin.

Kudos to the name and story behind it. One of the best stories out there imo

to the OPs topic, I think having an “Odyssey” or “Trojan” armor would be nice. Tying to the tail the odyssey or to the Trojan war.

That’s why I mentioned Hector as a possible name. He was a Trojan Warrior during the Trojan War. However he was killed by Achilles, and we already have that name for an armor.
Odysseus would be a good name as well for an armor set.
