I had a random idea for a new skull come to mind while I was trying to find a way to distract myself while waiting for July, and from that I also became curious if anyone else has come up with an idea for a skull. So I figured I would ask. If you could make a brand new skull that changed game play what would it be?
My idea for a new skull, is it turns all enemy snipers into jackal sniper from halo 2
A large subset of Skulls that turns every enemy into different enemies. (Disables difficulty related Achievements.) It wouldn’t be 1-1 replacements. Some examples: A single Hunter would be replaced with something like 15 Fuel Rod grunts. An Elite would be replaced with maybe 4 grunts. Get the idea? Different numbers of Grunts, possibly holding different weapons based on the enemy they replace. Replacing one of every enemy type with one of another enemy type would be bland, so this would mix it up. Many Skulls could exist to replace enemies with other enemies, like replacing all enemies with Jackals, or Brutes, or Flood, or Crawlers, or Sentinels etc. It could mix things up a bit, just for the sake of replay value and hilarity.
I would actually prefer to see a skull which removed all forms of barriers and this includes death barriers, soft kill barriers and invisible walls in order to make exploration easier.
A skull where shots you miss self inflict damage. So if you missed a pistol shot you would get “hit” with that amount of damage, maybe reduced a little bit. It would be interesting to see as it would reward accuracy/melee.
Infected Campaign Skull. All enemies are infected and come right at you in campaign. I think the skulls are a huge missed opportunity in Halo, they could bring endless hours of varying gameplay for campaign imo.
I saw a mod for CE a long time ago, and it replaced the grenades with random effects (Spawning 10 marines, causing a nuclear explosion, a flashbang) I think it would be fun to have some skulls that let you mess around a lot more in the game.

Angry Skull: Every friend and enemy all work together to take you down. A skull from a previous release of SPV3, which I thought was interesting, since you had the Marines and the Covenant staring at each other until you come to the fray, then they’d just shoot you. Of course, it doesn’t apply for important characters.
Trade Skull: When enabled, any enemy you kill will have you swap weapons with it. So, if you kill a Jackal Sniper, you’ll get his Beam Rifle. This doesn’t apply for melee kills (with the only exception being the Sword). Your weapon will still exist in the map, it won’t despawn or anything. It’ll literally just get in your enemy’s hand.
Surprise Mag! Skull (could use better name): Randomizes the type of projectile your gun will fire. So you can pick up an Assault Rifle, and it would fire either regular bullets, plasma, spikes or light rounds. Or, you can pick a Rocket Launcher, and it’d fire either Rockets, Fuel Rods or Ion shots from the Incineration Cannon. The projectile don’t change per magazine, only when you pick up a new gun.
Retro Skull: Basically this, without the music, of course. It just changes the viewmodels and HUD to something similar to classic shooters from the DOOM days.
