…and then play it from the beginning completely fresh, what game would you pick?
For me, it would have to be Skyrim. The initial feeling of jaw-dropping awe at the scale of the game when I first played it was astounding. Over time I just became too familiar with it, the build-up to Skyrim’s release was one of the most painful waiting periods ever.
Portal 2, that game had a magnificent story and characters combined with the puzzles, some of which stumped me for a good amount of time. Erasing my memory of playing Co-op with my brother and playing again with someone else would be really nice, it was such a frustrating experience.
Bioshock. Long story short I lost my first copy before I completed the campaign and figured I was never gonna finish it so I looked up the plot online… poor mistake on my part
Pokémon Red/Green. It was the first game I owned. Even though it was in Japanese, and I didn’t understand most of the dialogue, the experience lives with me to this day.
Metroid Prime. The feeling of landing on Tallon IV for the first time and hearing the beautiful remix of Brinstar was amazing. I could go on forever about how epic it was raiding the Space Pirates base in Phendrana Drifts and going into Magmoor Caverns without the Varia Suit. I’d LOVE to have that experience again without knowing everything and what to do.
Halo 3, most epic and amazing campaign I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Just amazing, I’d love to keep erasing it from my memory and starting all over again.
Oh, and in a positive light, Zelda: Windwaker. I would love to go back to a less responsible time in my life and play that cheery game again, without knowing what was going to happen next
