If You Could Create A New Game Mode

If you could create a totally new game mode, what would it be? How would you set up the teams etc.

British Bulldog.

  • 1 or 2 people are the bulldogs (based on total number of players).
  • Bulldogs stand in the middle of the play area.
  • Other players stand at one end of the arena in a zone (home).
  • The aim of the game is to run from one end of the field of play to the other without being caught by the bulldogs.
  • If you are caught, you become a bulldog.
  • Last player “caught” is the winner.

Notes:

  1. Bulldogs have an energy sword.
  2. Bulldogs have sprint.
  3. Bulldogs are invincible.
  4. Runners have the “dodge/evade” armor ability.
  5. Runners have gravity hammers, but friendly fire is off. (this weapon can be used to push people away from you, or push other teammates towards the bulldogs, as it is a last man standing game!)
  6. If a bulldog dies for any reason, they respawn in the middle of the field.
  7. If a runner dies for any reason, they respawn as a bulldog.
  8. Arena can be a blank square area, or a trap-infested design to make things more interesting!

I may actually have to have a go at making this!

Space Conquest.

Think original Star Wars: Battlefront II but with a Halo vehicles and gameplay.

I would create run the gauntlet. Mode would be an obstacle course with a mix of target practice.

Dude this would be so dope bro.

A true flood infection game mode that has the group of survivors with classes that could be Spartans, marines, odsts anything really, try to make it out of a flood infested hive or research outpost where the infected could start as a strong beginning infected, infect survivors or inflict damage to get points for better flood variants while having flood ai assault the survivors trying to escape.

I would call it Invasion: Conquest or Invasion: Warzone.

The mode would be structured very similarly to the land battles of Battlefront 2, a mix of the classic and Capital Supremacy. Each map would be set up for both teams to just kinda charge each other (think classic BF2 Kashyyyk) with five posts, each team starting with one. Team sizes would be bigger than BTB and maybe even Halo 5 Warzone, maybe like 16 to 20 players per team? AI allies/enemies would play a large part, ranging from grunts/marines to hunters/cyclopes. My idea with this mode is absolutely off the wall, flying pelicans, dropping in scarabs, deploying MAC rounds! I don’t know how such a thing would work seeing as people hated Warzone (well, some people at least, I kinda liked it).

Tug of War.

Whenever you kill a player, they switch teams. The team that either manages to get every player onto their side at once or has the most when the timer runs out wins. The kicker however is that the team with less people gets a boost to damage resistance based on how many players they have left.

That is a very good idea. Very smart. Seems to me you’ve thought about this before.

Honestly? Invasion with Firefight elements would be my go to.

Its a shame that Invasion never returned, I was quite a fan of it

Honestly I just want UNSC Marines/ Army vs Insurrections on maps that are urban/ close quarters… modes could be traditional slayer and a search and destroy type mode, 1 life insurrectionists defend munitions stockpile, UNSC have to go blow it up. Simple modes but the UNSC vs “Innies” twist would be nice
