If you could create a brand new weapon for Halo 6

I’m just curious to see peoples ideas. The rules are simple: can’t be a req variant of any currently existing weapon, any faction is allowed (UNSC, Covenant/Banished, Promethean), and make sure there is some balance so it isn’t overpowered. I was thinking a heavy Promethean machine gun (sort of like a mixture of the saw and sentinel beam) but it requires a brief charge and a very brief cool down time.

A hard light whip. Damage is affected by how close you are to the enemy. The closer the enemy the more damage. Fairly extensive range 10-15ft. Will EMP vehicles.

I’d think a more portable flamethrower would be cool, something light and fast enough that you dont have to hobble around in the boring third person. It be very useful in Warzone giving players an easy advantage when defending a point. It wouldn’t do as much damage as the Halo 3 flamethrower and could take a second to take down enemy shields but after that it would be a very quick death. It will not giving the enemies lasting damage.
You will be able to sprint, jump and clamber with this flame thrower. It could easily be countered with anyone decent with a ranged weapon, be it a magnum or a sniper rifle, so the user of the flamethrower would be restricted to indoors if they wish to survive.

I’d probably go with a unique covenant sniper rifle different from the beam rifle. It can should shoot through walls, ricochet, and is a one hit kill. However, I’d balance it by removing all bullet magnetism and most if not all aim assist with it. It would also be a projectile weapon so you’d have to lead your shots and the weapon would slow the user down and restrict jump height. And I’d give it a wicked aesthetic and make it look badass when firing.

I’d like to see a version of the Gravity Gun as a Forerunner weapon. I’m picturing a turret, with a maximum of eight shots that fires the same type of Gravity Bombs the Warden Eternal fires. I wouldn’t make it a requisition for game modes with such, rather if it is in the match, it should be hidden somewhere on the level that’s difficult to get to, and it should not re-spawn.

A dmr like weapon which shoots poison beams. The poison lowers health over time and depending where you shot them with it the poison will be stronger or weaker. A shot in the head would do the most.

It could be called something like “Snakehead” or such.
