Lets say you were in charge of the DLC map pack for CEA. Of course the one rule is one map MUST be a Firefight map and MUST be from Halo1 or Halo2.
I myself would keep the Firefight map.
My 6 maps would be
1-Beaver Creek-Fits well already
2-Hang Em High-Fits well already
3-Death Island-From Halo PC. Could also double as second Forge World.
4-Side Winder-Obvi. Because we have Blood Gulch already. Why not have the only other vehicle map in the original Halo?
5-HeadLong-I think it fits. And it’s one of my favorite.
6-WaterWorks- I think having another big map is important. Even more so one that’s pleasing to the eye [dark blue colors, etc] and a map to add more “Two flag CTF/Assault” games. As well as some nice invasion ideas as well [just be changing a few pathways with forge and such, it could be done
Gemini was a good Arena type map, I liked it, liked glitching out of it as well :P. Backwash was cool, I liked the fog effect, would be amazing for zombies!
I liked Danger Canyon a lot more than Timberland, I always found Battle/Beaver Creek a bit overrated, and I think Hang Em High being as good at it was in CE was the perfect storm of ALL that game’s mechanics and elements coming together. Hard to recreate, so swap it for Colossus to fill the Halo 2 void. Headlong’s nice and all but it wasn’t even the best BTB map in it’s own game, and I’m sick of industrial/city environments.

Waterworks is symmetrical and would never work for invasion. You’d be better off using Zanzibar in place of Relic, I could see that playing well on invasion.

oohh forgot about zanzibar . i didnt want relic being invasion just normal ctf or something
I hope 343i can make at least one more map pack with Reach. However Halo 4 opens a huge amount of possible map remakes and such. And hell, forge may be so damn good in Halo 4 we could just remake our fav maps, bit by bit.
I’d probably just replace Damnation with Sidewinder. But I’m over the moon to see that Headlong is back. And glorious. Whilst the rest of the maps look sweeeet!
I don’t think Lockout or Hang 'Em High require remakes due to excellent Forge World remakes in existence. But oh well, the new Hang 'Em High does looks nice. I hope they keep the naming theme going for it though. Because, Hang 'Em High, Tombstone and High Noon were all wild west cowboy films. So this is where I sit back and see if 343i take note of such fine details.

I see this requested alot and quite frankly I dont understand why it hasn’t been done. This map would fit in perfectly with all the space combat going on in reach and it would look so great.
Prisoner is the only risky one in my opinion. However there aren’t any CE maps with similar dynamics that I would switch for it. There are H2 maps that I would love to have seen (Colossus) but Headlong (best choice) already made it to the punch and this is CE anniversary so 1 H2 map is just fine for now.
