I’d alter microtransactions to include an armory. So you could buy packs using your REQ points and still have a random chance at getting a certain weapon/cosmetic (say, same REQ prices for the packs), OR you could go to the armory and pay an upcharge for the certain cosmetic or weapon you would want. REQ certifications would still be in packs only, but you want a Prophet’s Bane? 50K REQ points. ODST Helmet? 100K REQ points. Or, you can roll the dice and buy some packs.
They also need to go back to being able to customize emblems, as well as having some featured that you could get as a REQ. I really like the Clippy/MSDOS ones, but I also really miss the old emblems.
And since you’re new…tell us a little about yourself!
I’d tie into war zone exclusively. Meaning it won’t be how you get armor in the game, instead they’d go for the weapons, vehicles and boosts for WZ while armor is obtained by achievements or goals put in place to incentive the player to meet said goal. I’d also make it where in WZ, you can only carry a certain number of cards each game, and if possible, I’d prefer it to be random as it gives more variety to the game rather than players figuring out the top weapons and only carrying those into the game. So example: you can carry a total of say 7 cards into a game. 3 are common weapons/vehicles, 2 are rares, one is legendary and the other is mythic tier, if you lack enough cards, then it just blanks out till you do get a card for it.
simply put: is like a way where the microTs are more… controlled in the game of war zone since I don’t like how it’s setup, and that’s where the microTs main focus is at. Improve that, and maybe warzone gets improved. I could go on and on on how I’d change warzone but I’ll just end up feeling sad cause it’s not going to happen.
I would make it where you unlock armor like Reach by hitting certain levels then you pay for it with REQ points. As for the warzone weapons and vehicles they would be unlocked by buying packs like they are now or using an up charge to get exactly what you want.
This way level means something and you have to pick and choose what you want to spend you points on.
You ou would also just pay for req points not packs. For instance 10,000 points would be like 3$ or so
I would make the req system warzone exclusive. I would keep all the loadouts weapons and weapon certifications obtainable from gold packs like they are currently, and then make the armor purchasable with req points. That way we don’t have to rely on RNG as much as we do currently, and we could spend our points on things we actually like.
Remove cosmetics from them. Make them for only getting random single-use REQs and REQ certificates for Warzone. Let customization items (armors, helmets, assassination, etc.) be unlocked through commendations/achievements/direct purchase via RP.
The one change I’d make is to have cosmetic items not be associated with them. I’d prefer to have them linked to levels, commendations, and achievements, but I suppose I’d be fine if there was a Reach-style Armory.

Basically this.
Make them for Warzone only. I never used them in Arena. I would also remove armour from them and make unlocking armour from game and, or rank progression.
So many good ideas, if only 343 read the forums
I just want an in game way to see how to unlock all of the non random armor/emblems (tell us what commendation etc. we did to get it)

I think they do, I just wished they would post a bit more frequently to let us know they have looked at the suggestions.
I would make it so you could only buy 1 pack per decade. And that pack could only cost $3 at most.
1) Like others have mentioned, make the majority of stuff that’s not a weapon or vehicle unlock with other things like commendations, achievements, rank progression or REQ points.
2) I’d have more specific packs for various things. For example, 80K REQ points will get you an XP pack that has 12 legendary XP boosts for Arena and Warzone. Or a platinum pack that will give you 12 random legendary weapons and vehicles.
3) I’d make the REQ collection more organized so armor sets are alphabetized and the each of the original armor/helmet and their variants are next to each other.
4) I’d have the armor and helmet sections be more intermingled so you could preview helmet and armor pieces to see how it looks without having to select it. Currently, you have to select a helmet and then go to a different menu to look at all the armor pieces.
5) I’d have a custom loadout menu so you can pick which loadout weapons you want available in the game. No more side scrolling for 5 seconds to get to the weapon that you want unless you want all the weapons.

I agree with all of these whole heartedly. Also, maybe a “recently unlocked” section somewhere, because I often forget to look at the permanent unlocks I get due to trying to sell everything as quickly as possible.
I wouldn’t change the microtransactions. I’d change the req system. Big difference.
take out all the cosmetics and let it fester with warzone reqs and load outs only, implement the halo 4 system for armour, emblem and weapon skin unlocks… also much less filler we don’t really need 3 versions of the seeker or any piece really… maybe implement a universal skin for all armours… but either that or get rid of the micros… but in todays world that’s not an option, oh well… I understand the purpose ( its more of the req changes but I guess it goes hand in hand)
Have Mythic helmets and armors tied to tough achievements.
Have REQ packs split into two categories: Arena and Warzone.
Arena for cosmetics and Warzone for vehicles, weapons and Loadout items.
