If you could add one thing to Reach, what would it be?

Kill the last 3 quotes. And space fighting in Seraphs and Sabres.

I would have to say I would like to add to Reach something like an option to be dropped into the match for respawn or not. Think how section 8’s spawn system worked and you’ll know what I mean.

Or just be able to choose your spawn so you don’t come back into the game only to be killed a few moments later.

Some free maps, I feel entitled to some because some of the on-disc ones aren’t so hot.

Working elevators, Firefight for Forge world, Target locator weapon in forge.

Flood Firefight. Not like that terrible gametype that is regular Firefight, though. Make it more like CoD zombies - it has atmosphere, and you unlock new areas of the map as you progress and find new, more powerful weapons. Give it 3 or 4 huge maps that would take hours to explore fully, and have properly integrated vehicles. It would be beyond awesome.

same here i would love that to happen. CoD RULZ!!!

Kill Cam!

I think it would be drop in/drop out Firefight.

“Oh look, Bob’s on Firefight, I’ll join him”

“Hi Steve! Glad I didn’t have to quit out to the lobby for you to play with me”

Oh, and for Infection, it would either be Covies as the infected or the Flood

a covanant mission or a whole campagin being the grunts version of noble team

I’d definitely add a Grifball playlist…

Well of course you would.

You kicked my inexperienced butt all over the Grifball court that one day. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s exactly why we need the playlist - so you can find someone even more inexperienced and kick their butt!

Probably.

GRIFBALL!!!

I want Grifball so bad! I don’t know what the official term is for launching a ball carrier at the very start of the game to get a goal, but I coined the term “Flying Melon Drop”, and I’m still very fond of it.

Yeah, I was definitely bummed today when I saw the January update sans Grifball. :frowning:

as for terminology: Launching from the spawn = opening launch (spawn bonk and inside-outside variations)

If you mean launching from where the bomb spawns, either a Flowers (in the air) or a Pro Run (on the ground) although Flying Melon Drop might be a little more memorable…

I’m assuming it was a flowers. Just a straight run to the bomb, I’d grab the ball and immediately jump, teammates swing wildly, and I fly to the goal.

It rarely worked, other strategies did okay, never named stuff very well other than the Flying Melon Drop.

Tactics like that were fun in Halo 3 but have really evolved in Reach (no pun intended). Because of the tweaks to the hammers, cross-court launches really aren’t possible anymore. However, being able to do a double barrel roll (double evade) with the bomb can be just as satisfying.

A friend and myself got on a Grifball setup and tried out our old tricks, nothing worked that well, but I’ve seen some video of some serious launches. Is there a set of options to speed and gravity to make it feel like Halo 3?

-Yoinking!- rank like 2 and 3. its pointless when u cant rank up in numbers

There’s really now way to mimic the Halo 3 physics, unfortunately. The only way get decent launches is to lower the gravity, which doesn’t work to well because runners with sprint can literally just run and jump over the other team. The best we’ve been able to do so far is utilize evading with the bomb to create launch-like plays.
