If you could add one thing from Halo 2 to Halo 5 what would it be? My choice would be dual wielding.
A solid campaign that actually develops the characters that it introduces while maintaining an even split with previously established characters.
I don’t know, the Spectre? I barely remember Halo 2. Also I don’t think dual wielding would be a good thing to add to Halo 5
The whole game… That’s one thing… lol.
The only real options are the classic banshee, heretic banshee, spectre, blue plasma rifle, bruteshot, classic SMG, H2 magnum but the gunfighter resembles that and the classic sentinel beam.
If I had to choose, I think I’d want the bruteshot
Lockout cough cough

It would be a great thing to add. Adds depth to the gameplay.

Pretty much the entire game. I would say the mp maps.

Yea, but the balancing became so bad because of duel wielding. The lone weapons can’t stand on their own, and lose to duel wielding virtually every time.
There’s a lot more to it, but that’s my summary of the situation. It’s a timeless argument that has been around since Reach, and it has no right answer. Some people really like duel wielding, some people don’t.
On topic though, I think I would add a bunch of the multiplayer maps. I think they could fit in to Halo 5’s sandbox with just a little evolution really well. Look at Truth. Super similar layout to the original, with 1 or 2 new jumps and ability paths.
dual wielding

If you were bad they were an issue at range…but they were smg and pistol so they were not for range. Not having to use both your hands to pick up a gunner check is unlogical. MANY people loved it.
Every brute weapon and the brutes!!! I loved that religious/political tension incorporated in the covies story. That added so much depth to them besides “oh hey look, theyre aliens, kill em all!”
Duel wielding or lockout.
Dang reading all this makes me want to jump back into Halo 2 right now
Playable elites, if not that then I would add duel wielding.

ok but for one thing, 343 just spent months perfecting a bunch of overly-complicated weapon tuning. Adding dual wielding to Halo 5 would throw all that out the window. Also I don’t like having to drop a weapon just because I want to melee

Well if Halo 6 goes back to being Halo you are not going to be happy. And leave the heavy lifting to 343.
