  1. why did cortana stay behind she could have been saved ?

  2. is the Didact dead or is he going to do a 343i thing like at end of halo CE ?

  3. at the end after the didact fell did Cortana turn physical and touch the chief ? if so how ?

  4. was there a legendary ending ? how is there going to be H5 if didacts dead ?

  5. what happened to that one elite who order to keep the humans away from the planet who hated humanity ?

  2. Hes not dead, did you not pay attention to the ending? That was him talking, although we don’t yet know how he survived or where that portal thing lead to.
  3. She did touch Chief, its because she’s transcended standard AI’s.
  4. Didact isn’t dead, and the legendary ending, when they remove chiefs mask instead of black it shows his upper face.
  5. I assume he’s still commanding all the covenant around Requiem.

  1. Cortana split her personalities in order help the Chief, she states that there is only enough of her left to save John from the nuclear explosion. However some people (myself included) do not believe that she is actually dead as she is just as big a part of the Halo series as the Chief. There are some theories such as the Librarian made a copy of her, etc.

  2. The Didact appears to be dead but just like Cortana, however I believe he will make a return. 343 barely touched on the character and there is much more they could do with him.

  3. Some people say that Cortana created a hard light version of herself so that she could touch the Chief. Other people believe that she sent John into a virtual reality (kind of like Tron) which would mean she accomplished something even the forerunners could not. If she could accomplish this then there’s a good chance she is alive (IMO) Also there is a legendary ending which shows the cheeks and nose of Chiefs face. He is also showing a great amount of emotion (Not something the Chief has ever done before) most likely over Cortana’s death.

1)She couldn’t, remember when you insert her into the nodes and you see her splitting? Thats her breaking off her rampant code and putting it into the system to cause corruptions. When she speaks to John that final time she is using the last of her energy and her code is just falling apart.
2) Who knows what happened to the Didact? He fell into a swirling vortex of energy. I wouldn’t be overly suprised if a Forerunner survived that.
3) she was currently projecting herself using Hardlight if I’m not mistaken, Hardlight is physical.
4)Working on legendary solo after my heroic run.
5)Jul? I don’t think anything bad happened to him yet.
