…getting killed too easily, you obviously don’t play on Exile enough, were that is a god send.
If you’re talking about the Gauss hog then that’s a whole different story.
The Gauß hog is 2649874323 times more powerful than the standard hog.
Warthog is a piece of crap with a triple/double kill waiting to happen.
Hell hath no fury like a Gauss Hog’s wrath.
Even the Guass hog is significantly weaker than it should be.
Warthogs are armored attack vehicles, correct? Then why is the only thing the Guass is good at sitting in the back of its own base? The second it crosses the little bridge thingy, it’s dead meat. And there’s plenty of vultures with DMRs, plasma pistols, and stickies just waiting for dead meat.
What I feel most people do not understand about the Warthog:
A) It was a beast on Reach. It took almost an entire team to take one down and for the most part, people refused to pick up PP, so it was spoon fed to them in loadouts and the Warthog was weakened to make it fair for casuals (I used to play Reach all the time where we had the Warthog up for 1/2 to 3/4’s of the match before finally dying.
B) The Warthog has ALWAYS been about FAST ASSAULT and HARRASING the enemy. You’re not meant to drive right into their area and think you’ll automatically get kills. The way to drive is to use the outer edges and do drive-by’s. That’s how you’re supposed to compensate for the weakness -> Use speed and distance to your advantage. If anyone’s played Halo Wars, the Warthog was like a paper weight in that game too.
Could be one, or the other or both. In my opinion, I’d say both.

i am absolutely amazed at the lack of quality drivers when it comes to driving the warthog … 80% of the time i get some driver who just races full tilt into the middle of the battle, leaving us surrounded by a mantis, a ghost and 2 spartans and BANGO were dead, not killing one thing OR a driver that never slows downs long enuf for the gunner(me) to lock in on the enemy in order to kill it which usually ends up in death too cause the driver is on the gas so hard that it isn’t long before he flips the warthog and out i pop dazed and usually right beside the enemy … who then shoves a grenade up my @@@ …AAARRRRGGGG
