At Halo Fest, apparently it was confirmed that MC’s armour wasn’t finished in the Halo 4 teaser (As well as the Halo CEA trailer). Now, even though the MKV armour changed in Halo CEA, the packaging came with some ugly -Yoink- picture that was made months before the game went gold.
I really hope this doesn’t happen with Halo 4. If the armour changes from the picture linked above 343, don’t use the -Yoink!- picture.
Just looking at the Halo CEA cover makes me cringe.

… I don’t mean to be rude so please don’t take it that way…but are you seriously saying you’re bothered THAT much about what the box art is?? … seems a bit strange to me but hey each to his/her own I guess?
Either way, the box art doesn’t necessarily need to reflect MC’s FINAL armour permutation, it could reflect how he looks halfway through the game??
On the subject of looks though, I’ve nearly finished Glasslands and I REALLY want to see a set of Mk.VII MJolnir!! If that looks anything like the boxart for Halo4… <3
I agree with CEA. That game had a fairly terrible front cover. Halo 3 legendary edition had the best front cover. ODST had a good front cover as well. I hope Halo 4 has box art like them rather than like CEA.

I was annoyed with how they changed the boxart with Halo anniversary. Not the black and gold visor art style, not removing all other units and vehicles in the background. But because they changed Chief from holding the AR to the Magnum.

I don’t care about that specifically, but I do care about the fact that the pre-release MC is holding a M6G pistol instead of the M6D which is in the game.
The cover has nothing visually common with the game [In the case of CEA]. Even MC doesn’t look like MC. I don’t understand why they’d keep the boxart the same even though they changed so much for release. Seems awfully lazy to me, IMO.
