After today’s update I couldn’t play anything because you get the message “Unable to validate. Please make sure you are connected to Xbox LIVE and have the War Games Pass downloaded.”
The Crimson Map Pack FAQ says that you need to delete Crimson Map Pack Content but it did not work for me.
After a bit of fiddling around and thinking I did a series of things that worked for me. There may be some things you don’t need to delete but I haven’t tested it so I will just list exactly what I did to get it to work.
From XBox Home go to Setting, System, Storage, Harddrive (where you have Halo 4 stuff saved), Games and Apps, Halo 4 and delete the following:
Crimson Map Pack (500-ish MB? I don’t remember)
Spartan Ops Season 1.0 (1.5GB)
War Games (2.0 GB)
Halo 4 Title Update (30MB) ← Today’s update
Once that is complete, put in disk 2 and install the contents. When it’s done it will ask you to put in disk 1.
Start up the game and REDO YOUR LOADOUTS before starting any games because it has all been reset.
You should be good to go. I hope this helped you out.
