so what you’re saying is you want halo to be call of duty? because this is essentially what they’re doing.
iconic halo mechanics like trick jumps and strafing will become a thing of the past with boosts and sprint, and no more controlling the map.
i agree with you in that the game will be balanced, however that doesnt mean a thing when you completely change everything about the game where everything that halo great has been lost.

you cant say trick jumps dont exsist. obviously if you put halo 5 mechanics in a halo 2 enviornment then the trick jumps would not work, but the h5 maps can be designed around the new abilities to gie you trick jumps. however i dont really trust 343 to be clever enough map designers to add cool teick jumps.
strafing is still there, in fact it could become even more dynamic and skill involving with the addition of thruster
maps control is still there thanks to weapon spawns rather than ordinances. demonstrated by the optic vs str8 rippin match.
im a diehard fan since november 2001 and all this stuff scared me when i first heard it, but the more i watch the more i like h5. ads is perfectly fine as its just a more aesthetic reskin of scopes.
the only thing i still have a major issue with is sprint. even with the no shield recharge mechanic. sprint either needs to be removed completely or more severely punishable. sprinting should atleast deplete your sheilds to make it only viable for the most dire situations
son don’t put words in my mouth please. Map control won’t bet lost nor has it ever been. Halo 4 still had major map control just had unfair balance making it less of a skill.
Its no more COD than before . looks fun as hell and still dropped what made halo 4 and reach so off .
Look if it had all this and loadouts ide agree. But its just arena style Halo with new stuff.
Also what the hell do you want. Halo 3.1. Another clone of what you already have. Halo always changes. It makes it unique. No 2 halos are too similar
If you compare 3 to CE the changes are just as big.

Trick Jumps can easily be enhanced with the new Spartan Abilities. Going beyond simple crouch jumping and into full blown rollouts or even traversing the entire map without stopping.
Strafing is still there. Of course it is. But with default thruster’s in play, It will add another layer to predictability and strategy.
Power weapons and power up are still on the map. No, I still want to control the map to obtain them as they won’t just be given to me. And now we have another way to control the map instead of the same path.
The core foundations of Halo’s Arena mechanics are still there, And influence the game. But there is a new layer on top of that.
