and return your game. These are the numbers that will influence 343, not the number of whiny forum posts.
We wanted Halo: MCC to be one of the greatest fan service products in entertainment history. And it would’ve been, but 343 bit off more than they could chew, and that’s unfortunate, but there’s nothing we can do about it now. You’re frustrated. That’s all there is to it. You’re frustrated that you SHOULD be reliving the golden age of Halo with your bros right now and having the time of your life, but you aren’t, and nobody knows how to take out that frustration because there’s nothing we can do to remedy the situation.
From a software development standpoint, I can tell you this game is broken inside and out and will need lots of time in order to fix everything, if that even happens. There’s a reason we still can’t play 2 weeks after launch - and that’s because when every part of your application is malfunctioning, there’s a significant, deep rooted cause that is very difficult to approach without breaking other things in the process. Therefore, it takes a lot of planning ahead, a lot of testing, and a lot of time covering all the bases.
If you are dissatisfied, have lost your faith in 343/Halo, or don’t feel like playing a broken game for months like you are all saying, put your money where your mouth is and return it.
If no one complained, how would they know what to fix? You are correct about quite a few things, but first and foremost, the consumer is capable of voicing their opinions and complaining about a product they feel they were misled about. Purchasing power my friend.

There’s a fine line between constructive bug reports and complaints. Most people are aimlessly attacking and berating the game/343/Microsoft because they don’t know what else to do. Also note that this is actually very frustrating to the developer. They want a game that works. There is a bug report thread that I encourage you to use if you still have faith and want to see the game succeed, but this post is aimed primarily at those who are doing nothing but venting their anger. And for those people, the most powerful way of voicing their opinions is with their wallet.
The people complaining about complainers crack me up.

This is advice, not a complaint.
