New Breakout… looks like breakout was overhauled.

I like breakout but I don’t spend much time on it.
This is now the worst game type in the game.
Didn’t like breakout, don’t see how this would change it… it really shouldn’t be a playlist IMO. Maybe a game type in a team.objective playlist that had breakout, KOTH, strongholds, ctf and oddball.
Now to wait for the Community Update for more details. When do those usually drop?

No, not yet. News page still has last weeks Community Update as the most recent.

It’s not even the same breakout though. They have literally taken out everything that characterized Breakout and drastically changed it.
I didn’t really like break out really. But I hope this new one is better.

They are just trying to make it popular I think. Them taking ranks out was a sign no one was playing it. Some one at 343 loves breakout and just won’t let it go that most don’t like it. It’s not it’s own playlist worthy imo.
So I can’t get on and play it for a few hours. Would anyone mind giving me a summary of what they’ve done?

Full shields, pistol / shotgun starts, flag still in the middle but you take it to your base now to capture.

Shotguns? Sweet. Seems like a better load out then a smg.

Thats the thing. With shotguns people will camp around corners and the pistols are now extended mags. Doesnt feel like the old breakout. With Smgs u have a chance to fight back. Shotguns 1 wrong shot and gg

We’ll yeah that sucks but at least we have shields. But why extended mags for the Magnum? Why not the Gunfighter?

It was already that to me. Changing it drastically doesn’t do a thing for me.
