I noticed a lot of forum posts about switching the sprint button with the action button. Personally, having the action button on the bumper is the entire reason I PLAY on recon. switching it ruins its purpose IMO. Instead of having one or the other, why not have 3 variants?
In case people dont know what the recon control scheme yet: (surprised if you dont)
LT: throw grenade
RT: fire weapon
LB: activate AA
RB: action/reload
A: jump
B: melee
X: sprint
Y: switch weapons
R stick: move, click crouch
L Stick: aim, click zoom
V 1) normal, X to sprint, RB to action/reload
V 2) Switch X and RB, the one people have been talking about.
V 3) switch AA to X and Sprint to LB.
Now, I really see no purpose for V2, but I left it in there because it seems to suit the majority, and I dont want to be a jerk and say “OH I wont use it so you guys dont deserve to change my precious RECON!”. I would enjoy the third variant, as it is nearly identical to halo 3’s scheme, I mean isnt that the whole reason for recon being there in the first place? anyway, what I’m trying to say is maybe 343 can put this in, but then again, it’s such a small difference between the two they might not bother. I’d be very happy if they did, though.
Slightly off topic question, IF (ONLY IF) they added all three, which would you use?
