If all the active users on this site are UNSC Marines, and we had to fight the Covenant. How long do you think we would last?
Battle zone:
-It would be like D-Day. We will be defending our base while the Covenant are invading, and trying to take it over.

We will be fighting:
(Also the Covenant will be fighting realistically, and using real tactics. And the weapons will be doing realistic damage.)
Total of 2000 Covenant ground troops:
-Elites.
-Drones.
-Brutes.
-Jackals
-Hunters.
-Skirmishers.
Total of 100 ground vehicles:
-Ghost.
-Wraiths.
-Spectres.

About 50 aerial vehicles:
-Spirits.
-Phantoms.
-Banshees.

We would have:
117 ground vehicles:
-Scorpions.
-Warthogs (All variants of it.)

77 aerial vehicles:
-Hornets.
-Falcons. (Both machine gun, and Grenade launcher.)
-Pelicans. (Both regular one with machine gun, and the one in Halo 2 that was firing rockets at the Scarab.)

I say we would last at most about 2 hours. Most of the users on this site probably never fired a real gun before.

Also I think there would be some users shooting at other users becasue they don’t like each other.

I don’t like my odds of hanging in a group and feel much safer infiltrating one of their cruisers by myself. From there I’d just camp… ya know, mix things up a little :wink:

But…But…The point of the thread is us being UNSC marines fighting the Covenant, and wondering how long we would last.

Hmm I say if we post all the Warthogs (except the regular hog) to take out the Covie’s air vehicles and the scorpions in the middle ranks to take car of wraiths, and the regular hog out in the field to take care of infantry. I think we would last a bit.
If we had just 1 good spartan on the field we could win this.

If not I give ourselves 5-7 hrs.

We could somehow pull it off if we were organized but for some reason I don’t see that happening. So I’d say about 3-4 hours

I’d find out after I abandoned everyone to hide and survive only to loot your corpses and make the best of my days knowing there will be no more forum whining.

I would not suggest a singular battle scenario facing this type of force, rather guerrilla warfare. To isolate the force, even in strong hold will most likely be a failure. Sabotage and hit and run tactics are the most effective when facing an overwhelming force.

Plus, we might all start killing each other for power weapons if we were all stuck together XD

I was thinking of different scenarios. That was one of them. Also imagine how well the “Competitive community”, and the “Casual community” would be getting alone with each other?
