If we meet the Precursors.

If for any reason there are remaining Precursors, for example some managed to escape the Precursor-Forerunner conflict and set up far beyond the rim of our galaxy or perhaps even another dimension. (The Domain is a seperate dimension particularly suited for storing information, The Foreunners also discovered “The Glow” a dimension filled by nothing but light)

If we come into contact with Precursors they should be portrayed in an extremely alien fashion. In a way that makes you uneasy to look at them or even listen to them. I for one found myself feeling rather disturbed when reading about The Captive in the Forerunner novels.

If Precursors are introduced in later Halo titles they cannot deploy themselves as infantry that are easy to kill, it would destroy their image as these godly creatures capable of inconceivable feats of engineering and biological manipulation. They need to be an aloof but fairly prominent presence much like the Gravemind, but they must be portrayed more prominently than that even while still remaining out of reach of combat.

How do you feel the Precursors should be portrayed if the were introduced prominently in a future Halo title?

New Flood forms that don’t suck.

I do believe that the Precusors themselves will never appear in the same glory as they were before. I believe that they have permanently merged with the Flood, as the said by the Primordial.

Well it was theorized that when the Precursors made Forerunner and Humans, they made them in their own image. This would explain why the Forerunner look so much like us in comparison to other species in the Galaxy. If this turns out to be true, then it would be hard to make the Precursors look the way you described. They must be somewhat Forerunner/Human like.

We don’t know if there are enough Precursors alive to be an actual combatant though. We don’t even know if they are still alive at all. It’s very possible they are gone and all that is left of them is their plan they set in motion. Hopefully Silentium will fill us in on what’s going on.

The Glow? LOLWUT?!

Halo Cryptum Page 100

We have explored other realities, other spaces - slipspace, denial of locale, shunspace, trick geodetics, natal void, the photon-only realm called the Glow.

It was just one of many extradimensional realms the Forerunner discovered.

Most, if not all the Precursors have apparently merged with the Flood, likely to become the bases for Graveminds to lead the flood in their quest to unify Humanity and the Forerunners.

There are a lot of options for alien looks when it comes to the Flood. Plain disgusting, or venus fly traps, or gigantic monstors, etc. With how they’ve made the Covenant in Halo 4 and the Flood models, I’m sure 343i would be able to come up with something for the real Flood.

But if there truly was a Precursor that didn’t join the Flood, I agree that it should look a bit more alien than the Forerunners.

Though it was said Humans and Forerunners were based off of their image, so they shouldn’t be too radically different. To complement that, they should have some sort of technological visual that sets them apart, like the Didact’s antigrav shoulder peices.

Just because some Forerunners said the Precursors made them in their own image shouldn’t be taken too seriously IMO. If we accept that the Primordial was a Precursor, the last of HIS kind, then it is unlikely that they all are based off Forerunner designs.

Something like this:

or

Just totally alien and completely disturbing. And they should only be in cutscenes - fighting them by the hundreds like Covies or Prometheans would destroy the wole aura.

But I actually agree with other posters that at this point, the Precursors and the Flood are the same (I actually think they always were)

The Primordial wasn’t a single entity though. According to Human research he was made up of several lifeforms.
