From gamestop, etc., will 343 receive money from that purchase? I still want to play the game when it comes out because I’m sure the campaign will be entertaining, but I want to make sure the game is as unsuccessful as possible so 343 might wake up and take armor abilities out of multiplayer. thanks for any info

Is that a serious question? From the amount of pre-orders Halo 4 already has (and growing), I highly doubt its sales will be unsuccessful.
This isn’t funny… but to answer your question, i don’t think so, that is usually how game retailers like gamestop make their money. I think that when a game is brand new, they retailers have to give a percentage of the profits to the developers. However if it is used, they either pay a smaller amount or no amount at all. I could be wrong though 
btw, I don’t think your one man plan is going to bring down an entire company.
This would also explain why they encourage trading in your games. they can buy it for more than half of what it is worth, then turn around and sell it for a few dollars less than what a brand new one is worth and make the whole profit.
Yes, if you buy used 343 would not make any more off your purchase.

I don’t get these die hard Halo 2 and 3 players. There’s a Halo 3 forum and the servers are still running, so you don’t have to get your hands and dainty feet dirty in Reach and Halo4. No one’s forcing you to play it. If anything the Halo2 guys got a legit complaint and they should be pressing 343 for a Anniversary edition of 2 instead of trolling Reach and 4, but you 3s are still in business.
