6 months after the campaign…why is there no mention of master chief in either of those modes, obviously he would have to have something to do with Spartan ops. Did he not make it onboard the Infinity? Did he stay on Requiem? Is he on another Halo? Did he (gasp!) die?
Master Chief has an entire mode to himself, let us have a few modes to focus on our own spartans.
I guess we really won’t find out until we play the game!
Maybe he went with the Forerunners to combat the “Ancient Evil” or something.

I’m not saying he should be in these modes, I’m saying that this is implying that something is obviously causing him to stay behind and not leave on the Infinity.

Obviously Chief isn’t going to die in Halo 4 (it would be dumb to re introduce the cash cow icon and kill him off in the same game). Who say’s he won’t be referenced or make an appearance in Spartan OPs? After all, so many ways you can spin a story and that’s what 343 is planning to do by expanding the universe within the game itself. Many possibilities and a guest appearance or mentioning is totally feasible.
Also having MC mentioned in War Games is a bit pointless. It’ focused on Spartan IV killing each other in a training sim. Doesn’t need to be more story than that IMO.
