If To4 match randoms in h4, im done with halo

Edit: Ppl are telling me im being unclear(dont know where sorry) but i mean that Teams should match teams, and lone searchers should match lone searches for more even and competitive games.

I dont know how trivial it sounds to you guys, but this is easily the biggest problem i had in reach, and if its in H4, im giving this game a 1-month lifespan as im just so sick of this problem.

In reach, teams of 4 can match all randoms with no mics, and vica versa. In BTB, people get spawnkilled so hard by teams of 8, and the best player doesnt even have a chance with randoms.

I dont know about you guys, but i certainly dont like being spawnkilled, or not having a chance. Theres only so much a lone player can do against a practiced team of four, who have likely been practicing teamwork together. In a very teamwork focused playlist, such as mlg, its all but useless to try against them.

Another thing thats dumb is when im with a To4 and match randoms, and its basically no fun. We spend the whole game getting frenzies and winning 50-15. Theres no competition, and im sure as hell its not fun for the other team.

I feel this would bring competition, even matches, and a god dang reason to improve.

So how would you like 343 to make it so you dont group with randoms…? that makes no sense.

And heres a quick fix. Find friends online to group with so you dont have to be matched with randoms, its that easy.

Well you can limit the search to just players of similar skill.

Also, easy solution to spawnkilling in BTB is to turn on the options for spawn protection of some degree.

The problem isn’t getting matched with randoms on your team the problem is teams of randoms getting matched with teams that aren’t. Thats what the op is getting at anyways.

If a team who bothered to work together with mics smash a team of randoms who CHOOSE not to work together and communicate, then I’m sorry but that’s how the game works (and not just Halo - any team game and any team sport).

A majority of people hop into games solo. If it only matched teamVteam Matches would take much longer to find. But to solve your problem run with friends. Simple as that.

Seems like no one else actually understood what OP said at all, and yes this is pretty game breaking. One game an mlg pro team matched some random kids in the playlist… they killed themselves for -50 score then started playing and won the game anyway…

Teams of 4 should match with other teams of 4, teams of 2 should match with at least one other team of 2, and players going in alone should match with other solo players.

This, and i thought it didnt need explaining, so i didnt do it.

To4- group of people searching together, likely having mics and communication

Randoms - people who dont know each other, likely dont have mics

I’m sorry but unless you go into a game with a group of your friends you will be stuck with randoms. Every game is like that.

Lol ok, maybe we should match the best players against little 5 year old johhnny and his 3 guests.

Want to know why we dont? Because it creates lopsided uneven and unfun matches.

Not as much as calling someone a “casual”

Random = a random person you dont know, likely doesnt have a mic, and youve never played with

this is a simple and obvious problem that halo has, all they need to do is simply put teams of 2, 3, or 4 in a different pool of players (similiar to search preferences) and the problem would be solved.

lets hope that 343 put some thougth into the matchmaking system.
