If This is the Kind of Feedback They Get...

No wonder they aren’t giving us a public beta.

I have seen some of the most reactionary, angry, and most of all unhelpful feedback on this forum than I have ever seen in my entire online career. Keep in mind, I was there for the massive backlash from Reach. On the day of the Halo 4 trailer, it was just about that bad.

I’m glad to see it’s calmed down a little, but I really couldn’t believe I was reading the WAYPOINT forums on the 5th.

I think Halo 4 will be better off without that kind of input.

I agree, some people have to calm down. But that’s obviously not the reason they are not giving us a beta…

I agree. we’ve only seen 5 things of halo 4 and their was so many complaints. And yeah it was almost as bad as the Halo Reach backlash.

lol i agree with you completely it seems like 85% of this forum don’t appreciate the fact were even getting a halo 4 at all and a great team like 343 is making it.

> I agree, some people have to calm down. But that’s obviously not the reason they are not giving us a beta…

Well, if they had any doubts about it, I bet those were put to rest when they woke up on the 5th.

Ya it was pretty bad. But hopefully we will all be proven wrong and 343 blows us away.

I have faith in 343

It’s not as bad as what Google is doing with YouTube. They get hundred thousands of complaints and criticism and seem to ignore all of them. At least 343 is listening and allows such threads, as unhelpful as they may be, to exist.

Furthermore, they can’t please everyone. Of course, if they manage to unify play styles and such, that would be quite an achievement.

Google has the crappiest support i have ever seen in my life.

Great use of the word “reactionary”! It’s the perfect definition of those kinds of angry people. :stuck_out_tongue:

And the point of this thread?

I fear for the future of Halo if 343 actually listens to frequent waypoint kids.

WOW why do people always judge games that they never even played before

you cant give proper feedback on something that we cant play yet, i am basing my opinion on what i have heard and read

AA’s sounded cool in reach, bungie failed with them

yup 343 will freshen up the franchise and bring a new angle to gameplay. They care a lot about the story and fiction, and want to move Halo forward. Everyone needs to realize this first, and clearly these developers are very passionate. They feel the pressure of making a good Halo game. And I’m confident that they’ll make a good game.

Agree with OP.

Also, lets not forget that the inevitable “feedback” a large portion of this community would be giving would be the “super helpful”: OMG, THIS IS NOT HALOZ MAEK IT MOAR LIKE HALO 3!!!111!11

In a way I support their decision to leave the beta for what it is, and just give us the game without any preview that will inevitably cause half this community to go nuts because of little things that aren’t up to their liking. You know, that part of the community who already decided Halo 4 is going to suck monkeyballs and won’t be convinced otherwise no matter how good the game is going to be.

Critisism and concerns are fine. Everybody has them and they’re only natural. But the constant whining and complaining from these forums is just pathetic. It sometimes makes me ashamed to even be part of this Community made up of premature whiners, self proclaimed hardcore fans who want the game to be catered to just them and nobody else, nitpicky “fans” who can take 1 tiny element of the game and turn it into something “huge”, rank obsessed folks and uber conservatives.
For the love of God people, just be positive for once. It ain’t that hard!

I just think it’s funny people freak out over aspects of the game that will most likely be optional and there will be playlists without them.

Yes, I agree that negative feedback is a problem. But not giving us a public beta is a bad idea, not just because they aren’t giving us a chance to find out how the game plays prior to purchase, thus giving us incentive to buy (if it does turn out to be good). But 343 say they are testing the game internally. Are they testing problems that can arrive from cross-continential host based matchmaking? my guess is no, they will simply be using a system link test, which cannot in any way replicate full scale online matchmaking with different connection speeds, different ping, etc. We can only hope they will release a MP demo before the game releases.

So…the community is only allowed to give positive feedback?

lol

Most of the negative feedback i’ve seen has actually been fairly articulate and respectful. You can’t ask for anything more than that.

When you say you’re returning to halo’s roots and you put in sprint, you have to expect a -Yoink- storm. You just blatantly lied to your community.
