if they did make a halo wars 2 should they have the OPTION for two players and “only two players split screen” ?
so two people can play at once on same console. and also system link 2v2 ?
maybe 2 people on one Xbox 360 playing online ?

How do you know that you know? LOL I think it won’t return because 1 its a strategy game 2 no halo characters 3 to me it wasn’t good and 4 there is a new company. I don’t know how this Halo wars 2 thing happened but it sounds fake
well if they do decide to make a halo wars 2 i hope they add just 1-2 player split screen 
able to system link and xbox live with the split screens as well

A) Ensemble is no longer active and they headlined the game. Microsoft just published it so they will doubtfully pick up Development
B) 343 is busy with the Reclaimer Trilogy as neither they nor Bungie were directly involved with Halo Wars.
If nothing has been announced now, there probably won’t be any sequel on THIS console anyway.
Support just isn’t rearing it’s head.

I wouldn’t count it out just yet. Don’t forget it’s one of the highest-rated rts on consoles, it’s the highest selling rts on consoles, and a good amount of people have been asking for it. Besides, how do you know for sure that they won’t announce it?

Lol no halo characters…
I’m pretty sure spartans are halo characters you know cuz the whole series is kinda based around em that and the fact that a spartan is on the cover of every game and almost every book.
I’m also pretty sure the flood/elites/jackles/grunts/hunters/brutes/prophets/engineer’s/odsts/just about everything in the game are halo characters.
You sound awfully like someone who just jumped on the bandwagon at 3 or reach and have never read any of the books.
Halo Wars 2 is possible - just need the funding for it. There are numerous studios that could take up the game.
The question is - will Frank and MS see eye to eye and let it happen. But beyond that - is MS willing to invest in a game that has a lower rate of return than an FPS.
Everyone is FPS right now because of the rate of return. I see a Halo MMO coming prior to a FPS. But we will see. I hope a Halo Wars 2 happens in the next decade, but you never know.
I vote for Obsidian Entertainment to make a Halo RPG

Been there, done that, got a t-shirt.
343 could do it if they wanted to - they would just need more bandwidth to pull it off. AKA, hire another 100-200 people OR have another developer do it. I vote for a 2nd developer AKA ROBOT ENTERTAINMENT and pay them a LOT to do it and support it.
But - MS does what helps MS’s bottom line.
