If they dont fix the splitscreen framerate problem in Halo 5… let’s boycut it !! Have been a fan of Halo since the beginning but now im tired of waiting for my splitscreen experience to be clean… its just not playable with the framerate lag… If it’s not fixed… ill go for Destiny or COD Ghost and say goodbuy to Halo… Hope 343 knows that im not the only one with this problem. Im tired of waiting
YEAH! Especially on Forge Maps. Doesn’t exactly make it unplayable, but it does make playing with my bro damn unpleasant. Hopefully they can fix this in an update, and if not… Poop.

I won’t abandon my beloved Halo series and ‘boycut’ it just because of some framerate issues.
The reason for the frame issues is the console’s outdated hardware.
The only way for 343 to fix the frame rate drop would be to lower the poly-count and reduce the size of the normal/specular/diffuse maps on every single mesh in the game, but that’s impossible because most of the content in the disk is locked and can’t not be modify with a TU.
> I won’t abandon my beloved Halo series and ‘boycut’ it just because of some framerate issues.
How about all the other issues then.
But games running in only 30 fps is awesome, i cant wait to play Halo 5 in 1080p and 30 fps.
Splitscreen framerates in Halo have always been ghastly, as far as I can remember. This is the only Halo I can remember having painful fullscreen framerate issues, however. Have you tried looking through a scope on Scythe?

That’s off topic.

Yes it is, but let me explain something:
I am a great fan of Halo. I do know about the new and multiple issues in Halo 4. But I knew they will be there. 343 did a new game and planned to do a new Halo. I expected it to be different, and it is.
There might be some issues left, but 343 is trying the best to eradicate them. They aren’t network gods. They are just people, like you and I, who are trying their best. And they did the best they could do, thinking about the console where the game appeared on. The Xbox360 is old, and that’s why there are those framerate issues. It’s not the game.
The only thing you could say is that Halo 4 is too awesome for the Xbox360 to handle.
And my explanation is still on topic.

It is pretty much this.
I’ll probably boycott the Xbone because of all the DRM and it honestly just looks like a cheap, low end PC compromised so Microsoft could include Krapnect.
Microsoft need to learn that the customer are the ones filling their coffers and will not have their rights dictated to them.
I want to buy my games not loan them for a TBA announced amount of time until Microsoft decided to kill the servers and I’m left with a useless black box and hundreds of useless discs.
A few generic games like Halo 5 really aren’t going to be enough to sell the Xbox brand anymore, there just isn’t anything original about the platform and Sony are bound to make some huge strides with PSN 2.0.
I feel XBOX will steal the spotlight come E3, more than the station. XBOX may have a few flaws, but its many features more than make up for this, the thing is awesome, I re-watched the hour long press conference on youtube today actually, love it. And it will still be a solid gaming platform.

You do realize they faked a bunch of things inside that conference, right?
“Yeah, we found out shortly after the show. Apparently that wasn’t the actual episode of Price is Right that was live at the time. Plus there were videos of an actual demonstration and while it worked ok (choppy video on initial channel pull-up) it wasn’t as smooth as the stage presentation.
Yeah there’s a video interview where they actually show the real UI with the snap feature runs at like 5 frames per second. They faked all of it on stage.”
They even faked the crowd applauding.
I wouldn’t be so excited if I were you.

And here I thought the people at the stage were actually liking all the new features -_-.
Yeah, this has been an issue since Reach.
It was the best splitscreen I have ever seen in ODST. No drop in graphics or anything.
GoW also has fantastic splitscreen.
But it suffers on Reach and Halo 4. Hopefully the power of the next xbox will improve this.
