If they do support this game after Infinite...

I really think the competitive playlists need a complete overhaul. Can’t find a game in most playlists and the H2 ranking system is extremely poor for consistently getting good and balanced games.

Well an 8th season is on the way at some point, but other than a new game mode and collectibles in H3 campaign I don’t know if anything will be adjusted with the competitive playlists other than rotating modes in and out. Surely most if not all competitive focus will be on Infinite, so that’ll probably kill competitive playlists even more along with regular matchmaking.

I suppose it just boils down to if they want to preserve legacy Halo. I’m not sure after Infinite the population will support either H5 or MCC. Even this close to launch its hard to get a game at some times of day in most playlists even with expanded search.

Sometimes I like switching between MCC and H5, but I’m not sure I’d even go back to either of them after Infinite.

While the game will still be supported there won’t be any major upgrades or changes. That is one reason they are getting away from seasons so they can releases small bits of cosmetics/upgrades as they want too. Also after infinite releases the population will surely drop more so the odds for balanced games will be even lower. I understand the frustration of not getting balanced games but the population is pretty low and the game has to make games from players available.

I wish I could speak for H5 but I’ve neglected it/been unable to really get hook on it due to the fact I’ve got a dinosaur of an XB1 that’s seen better days, and my attention during it’s day was elsewhere. I haven’t really had issues with finding matches so far in MCC, however most of the time I’m playing social 4v4 and BTB slayer/objective modes, or whatever the limited time mode is. I’m sure as ranks go higher games get more difficult to find or are very unbalanced in terms of skill levels, it’ll most likely get worse as Infinite launches, it’s looking to be a major hit given the latest flight.

Depends on what time you play… I usually find games on H4 and H3 playlists because that’s what most players are playing now. But I guess players may switch to back to MCC after a bit of the infinite hype has died down, but again continued content for this game will of course keep players interested.

Hey, I’m just happy they are giving the ranked challenges a break for Season 8. I was always able to complete these and kinda liked the challenge, but it was just always somewhat of a pain in the rear. From lack of population in the playlists, to horribly uneven games.
