I accomplished this achievement not once, but TWICE, recently, after multiple beat-downs instead of assassinations (really made me mad) and somehow, the achievement didn’t detect after I assassinated the elite (which it should).
Anyone else having this problem? Could it be that the reach server is down, that that is the cause?
Pretty sure you can get the cheevo offline. Keep trying spartan!

In all likelihood, you’re not getting the achievement because you might still be sprinting as you land on the elite and perform the assassination. This is a known issue that prevents the achievement from unlocking. The fall must be fatal and for some reason if you’re sprinting this negates that effect (though not always). Make sure you turn off sprint the moment you step off the cliff.
