If wherever or whenever Halo Wars 3 is taken place, they should add new structures built in base. And one building I think should be implemented is an Advance Research Armory. This armory will be like the original armory, except, for researching the production of advance units. However, I know that on Xbox, there is a certain amount of room you have to pick a building in the base slots. So, This building will be the last upgrade in the normal armory. That is when it will be unlocked and replace the armory spot in the building slots. So, technically this building is a late game building unless you can ransack your way in the fight for it.
Take for example, the normal armory now from Halo Wars 1-2 allows you to upgrade base defense, unit production or unit population, ect. An Advance Research Armory will not be focusing on passive upgrades, but, more active unit upgrades. These units will be powerful units that can be researched/trained. Though, they will have a population cap of how many you are allowed to have (Just like the 3 Spartans back in Halo Wars 1).
The advance units will not be unfamiliar to us as well. Advance units will be units we seen, but should not fit in the average barracks, garage, and helipad.
- If for the UNSC: The Advance Armory will hold ONI/Hannibal Units, Spartan IVs/other, Mammoth/Condor. No upgrades, each probably holds population cap of 3 per unit (but not for the mammoth/condor. They have 1 population.)
- If for the Covenant: Their… Holy Grail Sanctuary? Will hold Ultra/Temple Units, Honor Guards/others, and replaced Scarab/Kraken. Like again, not upgrades and each units holding 3 per unit. (But Scarab/Kraken holding 1 population also.)
It will be a new building design that fits a place for new units that cant fit in the Barracks, Garage, and Helipad. And it seems nice.
