If there is a Halo Movie...

If there is a Halo movie, it shouldn’t be done live-action. I used to think that it should but, if whoever creates it, uses the same CGI technology as they did for Halo 4, than they should use that. As for the director, I like the idea of Peter Jackson or Christopher Nolan doing it, because they have stayed true to the lore of LOTR and Batman. What are your thoughts/ideas?

Peter Jackson sounds good but it should be live-action.

I like the idea of that. BUt when it comes to the movie iv done alot of thinking for it.

1- Halo has been made what it is because of the voice actors behind our beloved heros and villans. With that said i do think many should be used in the film. I would like to see David in as Johnson, Jen as Cortana and Steve Downs do voice overs for the person who plays the Cheif.

BUt i think that to get to the films there needs to be a tv show first to lay the ground work. Iv thought that the show could be along the same lines as the books where you get to see many other stories in the Halo world. As well i wouldnt stick with one cast for say 7 seasons. Id so it more where each season is a differnt story.

Say season one is Harvist. This would be around Admril Cole and what the sart of the war does to Humanity and Coles struggle to take back the planet while coming up with his Protocol.

Season 2 could be the Halo Wars story but live action.

Season 3 could be about the ODST’s. Iv allways felt that the Halo 3 ODST live action trailer was the best iv ever seen. SO the story would start like you see in the trailer where a young man is at a funeral for a loss love one who was an ODST. The boy then goes on to decide to join the ODST’s and from there you get to see how they train new recrutes. Say from about half way threw the season the boy is then finshed with training and joins a ODST team that has taken a few loses. He then goes on with his new team and goes feet first into the war to end wars

You get my point and iv got alot more i could add but iv felt that a show would do well if it was to have many stoires with every season jumping a few years more into the war.

What’s funny is that Pete Jackson was going to the Halo movie but they want over budget almost $6,000,000 which 3 times then Avatar’s $2,000,000 budget. Because of this what remain of the Halo movie became District 9 no joke. There is a page on Halopedia about the film’s history and concept art what could it been.

Has to be live action. Nothing beats the feel of seeing real people play fictional people.

That said, I would suggest doing the Preston Jeremiah Cole story.

The Halo Wars CGI is much better than Halo 4 CGI in my opinion. Although, mashing both up is abit is gonna’ be a blast.

I think a halo movie should be live action. I also think Peter Jackson would be a great director… although that’s probably not going to happen in the next 4-9 years… (The Hobbit). I also hope they keep the Spartan IIs (preferably) as the main characters… Cause I believe I saw somewhere that Chief could not be the main character because he could not take off his helmet…

$6 billion? Goodness. I knew what District 9’s origins were, but I didn’t know they abandoned the project for that reason!

That’s the exact reason that it shouldn’t be live action. There are no actors that can portray the massive size of the Spartan II’s.

Million.
Forward unto dawn.

Peter Jackson yes.

I genuinely feel that is shouldn’t be live action, although it really depends on who takes the job for it.

I hope it’s not Neil Blokamp. After seeing District 9; I don’t see how he’ll be able to incorporate the Master Chief in to the picture well, without degrading anything else. I’d love Peter Jackson to do it, because he is a man with vision, and you know you’d be getting something epic
But like ‘Dragoth2000’ said, with The Hobbit going on; he may not take it on :frowning:
