Instead of having two rotors on each side, they could be removed and replaced with some type of Covenant-Forerunner hybrid technology. The same kind seen on the Banshee or even the Sentinel Enforcers from Halo 2. Or they could fly and function like the LAAT (Low Altitude Assault Transport) from Star Wars. And it’s new, sleek silver look will make it more futuristic.
Since Halo 4 takes place a considerable amount of time after Reach, it can be explained that the new Falcon is just an upgraded, better version of the old one.
I have to say I prefer the concept’s and hope that if the Falcon makes a return, that we see a more advanced version. By saying advanced I mean redesigned to be faster and have better weaponry, like the OP mentioned.

well I would assume that EVERYTHING should be upgraded to some extent from what it was in Reach seeing as its set before all the other halo games while this is going to be set after.
