Theory: if the prophets return they would have reconstructed the covenant, and would be mad that cortana’s messing around with forerunner artifacts and would go to war with her. What do you guys think of my short theory!
I think it would be interesting, but unlikely. The more likely theory would be that the flood would come back… from outside our galaxy, like where they came from.
It is revealed in the forerunner trilogy books that the flood came from outside the galaxy. it would be nice, wait, not nice, they were a goddam menace, but it would be good for the series.
