Should 343 use some of the ‘‘Flood’’ types that appeared in Halo: Spartan Assault as well as Halo 4’s ‘‘Flood Mode’’. I think it would be cool to have infection forms be able to ‘‘eject’’ themselves from their host body after its death, that way it can continue its infection. I also loved the fact that they would lob fire grenades at you as well as that on persistent infection form that would latch on to you and stay on until you die or it is shot off. I would love to see these features applied to the ‘‘Flood’’ if it returns, as well a maybe seeing some infected ‘‘Spartan 4’’ as some form of mini-boss for the Flood.

I know that infection forms eject from combat forms in Halo 3 after losing both arms.
But yea there should definitely be more forms in the Floods arsenal, then again the flood in he galaxy are at the feral stage, only select specimens still exist i believe.
The Flood is always welcome to me, and I personally think that new models would be welcome. Their were some models from Halo 3 that were cut and so I would like to see 343i maybe use those as a starting point. As for the AI, we need their to be a more intelligent zombie vibe considering that is what they are. All creatures controlled by the same “mind”. For example, say if you are spotted by one flood, all of them automatically reposition themselves to ambush you. Give them cool sound effects too in order to increase the creepy vibe.
I have great feelings that the Flood will be the main threat in Halo 5, with sides of covenant and other forerunner enemies (maybe facing humans). Maybe some twist that the Flood may have just arrived from a neighboring galaxy from their “intergalactic stage” once again to continue its ultimate goal to infect and spread throughout all life.
It would make sense in some way, that during this games time presence, the galaxy is still largely unexplored by Covenant and Humans alike. We mostly don’t know whats out there. That gives most likely that the flood might be waiting for us to conquer their ships and travel to find fresh meat, who knows.
Also don’t forget the other installations and spirit of fire (Halo Wars). I’ve read that installation 07 still hold 10 stasis Graveminds. That would cause a lot of problems if one of the factions find that ring and start poking around the labs.
Lot of possibilities, but the flood will return for the games.

They did this in h2 as well, I think in h2 they just destroyed the body in a puff of green smoke and could go jump in another downed flood form. Actual infection wasn’t added till h3.
h1 is the only game with ‘flood buddies’.
