If the flood does come back in Halo 5, what kind of changes would you like to see? For myself it would have to go along the lines of:
-hive mind like awareness
-different flood forms
-tactics that change with the types of flood present, like the prometheans in halo 4
-flood that build on to each other to make larger forms
*the last thing I would like to see is something similar to what happens in the alien movies. People are imbedded in walls in a disgusting mass until the alien burst out of their chest. In this case it would be flood, or just have flood morph out of a wall would be a terrifying aspect since a flood infected area would be a constant danger even if you’ve killed all the flood in the area.
It would be interesting to see how they would react to prometheans. They’re not organic so they can’t infect them…mind you, they did use to leap at sentinels and take them out of the air.
as long as they don’t go silly with the different forms id be ok with anything, they don’t need dog-like forms for sure! I like the building on to each other idea, maybe as a boss!?

And they should have to be very, very disgusting. First time in Halo 2, when the flood captured High Charity and there were flood “bubbles” on the wall, I said: Ehhh…wtf", but then in Halo 3 it was more disgusting, for example look at that.
In Halo 2 A. these “flood walls” are matte (if I’m right), but if there will be flood in Halo 5, then make it like in 3.

Well you can sort of do that already… headshots don’t typically kill Flood combat forms, nor arm shots. Just body shots because the infection form is located in the chest. Heads and arms come off when you shoot those areas.
I definitely think the flood will return in halo 5 or 6 . What I know is, if they do return, you can count on some awesome new enemy types. I personally would love a gravemind boss battle or some type of flood form boss battle. And I love your idea of random flood forms morphing with each other to make bigger, scarier forms. Hopefully 343i has thought about that and sees the potential in that concept.
