and me… Literally its the warthog of the sky, the pheaton is the mantis of the sky and the banshee is a ghost of the sky, so it should have at least the same health as the good ole pheaton. also is it going to launch from the ground? I mean in needs some passengers right? and what about the seat switching?
A Falcon is a Falcon ammi right :D. I’ll definitely be flying it around/hitching a ride if I have it/see somebody with it, can’t wait to hear that lovely chain-gun again on it in Halo 5…hoping it will have a chain-gun on it.
I loved flying that thing, it was complicatedly good.
Wanted it back since forever.
If it returns, I’m farming them and never touching ground again.

Personally, I remember noble team, infection, and the fun air vehicles in that game.
Both the banshee and falcon.
Even when you could turn them into a phantom and pelican in campaign.
Oni Falcon can do barrel roles like a banshee. Guns fire spartan laser. And passengers get nornfangs. And it’s invisible. It also has a scorpion main gun on the front. It’s also shaped like a real falcon, and is painted with the Old Abe weapon skin. It will be balanced I swear.
Only problem I have with the Falcon returning is that it doesnt really have a evade factor. Banshees have speed burst and can twist around, and Phaetons have the burst mechanic. If they add the falcon theyre gonna have to put in some way to find a fair way to evade gunfire and power weapons

I’m guessing it will be as fragile as the other two base air units: the regular Banshee and the “Legendary” Phaeton, which sports the hit points of a corp scout warthog.

No you’re not. You’ve seen the chain guns in this game… Think about the Mantis for a second and then hope the Falcon has… anything else.

You forgot that it can’t be emp’d or locked on to, you can’t hijick it, and it can oneshot any boss if it taps it
Half of the team will be running after it while it’s in the air. That’ll be a funny sight.

The warthog doesn’t need evasion maneuvers to be useful, so why should the falcon? Just slap lots of armor on there and it will have the same lifespan as the banshee or phaeton.
Agreed, a strong Falcon that isn’t made of paper should be able to just tank a few rounds rather than need the evade/burst mechanics. Plus, a good pilot was always able to do some evasive maneuvers in Reach, so unless the Falcon we get has garbage handling, that should still be true. I do expect we’ll likely be seeing more gunners get shot off the Falcon’s sides though, since there will be significantly more snipers and other high accuracy weapons on the field. Totally worth it. Can’t wait to rain hell-fire down on people with my buddies again

Seat switch can still work. I mean you can do it in the S-tank just fine and the Wraith. I don’t think it will be to much different and the door already opens when you get killed in it
falcons should come back but instead of armour it should have FLARES that confuse tracking system (aswell as decent armour) this way you can’t just easily bust out a rocket an win… the prospect of a oni or hannibal falcon is just… terrifying… I hope they make troop transports versions an maybe even grenade launcher variants or front gun variants like the campaign had. those’d be neat an it always pissed me off that those were campaign only
