by only grunts. Not 10, or 11, no like 50,000,000 or more. Would we stand a chance?

Yeah, without Elites to command them, Grunts are all but useless. We would take some losses just from sheer numbers, but we could definitely take them.

Grunts by themselves wouldn’t invade Earth. They would also all have to have a methane breathing apparatus, or they’d suffocate in our atmosphere.
So that is assuming they have some sort of command - probably either Elites or Brutes.
If earth got invaded, some japanese schoolkids would stumble upon some mecha and fight back. Unfortunately 99% of earths population gets wiped out.

We would develop bonds and partnerships, and over time, the grunts would become humanities greatest friend and ally. And then that means… Spartan Grunts.
Probably… but only if people weren’t afraid. To us it’s like “They’re just grunts. They’ll die quick if we can work together.” But worldwide panic wouldn’t help us.
We would still scare the yoink out of them.
Standard Grunts? We could take em with the Grunt Birthday Party Skull. Then we would have a buttload of confetti to clean up afterwards
Suicide Grunts? One shot to a Grunt’s face and 1/2 the Earth is immediately vaporized while the rest is left uninhabitable due to large amounts of plasma radiation causing the atmosphere of the remaining half to go bonkers

It’s really hard to say because there are a lot of grunts and even if they are not so organized or powerful there was a time they almost beat the elites but the grunts lost because the covenant invaded their planet and almost destroyed everything to make them surrender and join the covenant to follow their orders. So I think grunts could win against the earth depending on the quantity of them
If they’re armed with Covenant weaponry and there are 50,000,000 of them, I think they could cause some trouble… in the canon world a couple plasma pistol shots would be enough to take out armored vehicles.
Heck, if I had an infinite clip magnum and the birthday party skull on, I would clean em’ up myself!
Give me a fully loaded AC-130 Gunship and all your problems will be solved. I may also need a radio and an A-10 Warthog, I love the sound of “BRRRRRRTTTTTTT” and grunt screams in the morning.
