if the dlc's weren't free, would you have got them

^ Lets say that each DLC was released at a respectable price. Would you have considered them worth it? Which ones would you have gotten?

Yes because I always buy the dlc for Halo.

No, because I already pay for the game.

Probably not

Of course not. They’re mediocre updates.

No, I can make a forge map on my own. We at one time got 3 unique, dev made maps. Not this half–Yoinked!- content drip.

It is doubtful that I would have purchased the DLC if it cost money. In all fairness to the question, I am a very cheap person.

I probably would but I would have regretted it in hind sight lol the DLC maps just havent been all that good. Torque, Overgrowth and Riptide are all maps that arent that great.

they would probably get grouped together. so possible. but since they are not I am completely ok with them

Yes. And I’d wager everyone posting would do the same. People just say they wouldn’t cause they think they’re making a statement about what they perceive as an inadequate amount of content, but they’d buy too.

What respectable price? Because to me, that would be something like…two bucks? For one, there is barely anything really meaningful in these updates. There are only two maps per update, most of the time the armor they add is mediocre looking, and the weapon variants are only for warzone. Not everyone likes warzone. At least they could try to add something to the people who play arena by adding more gametypes.

No, 343 have a great idea releasing everything for free dont be like destiny or cod who lock their players out of stuff.

nope. not rly worth much. besides, i would already have ultra rare and legendary stuff if it werent for so many crappy new reqs.

Thats a good question, I’d probably buy all of them save 1-2, the main ones I’d buy would be reach, firefight, cartographers, and meridian

I would’ve probably only bought the Reach one…

I wouldn’t because I generally don’t buy DLC for Halo, I try them out on someone else’s account and make my judgment from there, which usually comes to a no.

And then you reach the problem that you either need a dedicated MLG playlist (which won’t have many players), or only when the entire lobby has the DLC maps will a map come up (So triple RNG), which makes you feel like you wasted your money to begin with.

So no, I wouldn’t buy the DLC.

The updates have provided a decent amount of content, but none of it would be worth paying for. Especially since they include things that have come standard in past Halo games, such as Big Team Battle and Forge.

Good thing we didn’t need to pay for them, then.

If it were to be like regular DLC, then forge would’ve still been free, Reqs would’ve been free, and game modes would’ve been free…and there would be more maps at launch…this means that DLC would come in the form of Map Packs consisting of about 3-4 maps…in which case I would’ve probably bought that b/c I enjoy having the choice of all maps…

That isn’t a fair argument, as most of the stuff in the updates are things that people expect in a Halo game at launch. If we had all of the content that was supposed to be in the game at launch, and more developer made maps that are not Forged, then I would make a judgment regarding such a purchase. But if you are talking about the content that are in the updates currently, then no, I would not buy the updates, and I wouldn’t buy the game at all.
