What would you like to stay from the Halo 4, 5, and HW2 style?
I really liked HW2s art style, (the art style more than the game really) I would like to see some of that return.

The same person in charge of the Halo Wars 2 art style is now the head art designer at 343, good times are ahead!
I never played HW2 so can’t comment on that, but I don’t think they should keep much from an armour perspective when it comes to H4 & H5. I think they should take page from Halo Reach for that. There is a comparison picture floating around that compares Halo Reach & H5s armour, its crazy to see the differences in detail. But from what I have heard, HW2 had some good art, so hopefully that transfers over to Infinite.
Also lighting on some of the maps need to be altered. Some maps its almost like you need sunglasses. (not sure if that falls under art style)

You dont need to play it, just go to youtube and watch some cutscenes for Halo Wars 2 and you will notice how amazing the art style is.

So art style showed in the cut scenes then (cinematics)? Doesn’t that skew things a bit in terms of how things actually look in the game?

No, not really. If you zoom in you can see they look very similar.

No, not really…
People keep saying this stuff since some gaming news sites reported somewhat falsely this, what they didn’t report was how 343 clarified that Jeremy Cook is “just” art director of HW2 and still has nothing to do with FPS Halo games…
The Art Director of FPS Games (including H:I) is still Nicolas Bouvier/Sparth, the same guy who was Art Director for H5…
I feel like HW2 struck a good balance between innovation and respecting the classics. Honestly I am not a fan of the cartoony/insanely inpractical armor styles in H4 and H5, get rid of those we should be good.
