Unfortunately I do not think it’s bannable. For the game, they just jumped out of the Ghost and that’s it. You can still try to report.
I also suggest you to meet up with other players that are actually interested in helping you with this, instead of teaming up with randoms.

Thankfully I was able to find new players to do the achievement with quite quickly. Got it done in under 30 mins and we all stayed in the ghost this time.

Great. Unfortunately Halo relies on setting up team parties beforehand, otherwise if you que with randoms, there’s a chance that you’ll incur in griefers, trolls etc, and will absolutely ruin your game.
