If prices are adjusted: Reimburse us the difference in Credits

Topic solution right here

I mean it’d be nice but they don’t owe us that. We paid for it what we thought was fair. It’s not like you get money back when items drop in price after a while.

What 343 should do however is reimburse the people who bought the Samurai stuff before 343 realized it was never supposed to be sold and later added it to the event passes.

Damn. This a real heated discussion.

In the UK most retailers will give the customer the difference back if a product lowers in price within a certain amount of time from the date of purchase. I don’t know why any customers would want other customers to receive a worse service, it’s not like it comes at their expense.

Despite what the community has to say, Xbox themselves offers price change protection refunds on any digital purchase for up to 30 days past the purchase date.

This isn’t a dub dude I literally cannot post it here lmao.

It’s not regret.

The toxicity of the Halo fandom is truly something else.

Honestly? Good. Because it needs to be seen more broadly. People can hate me for buying some meshes and textures all they want, what matters more is getting the topic out there and unscrewing the playerbase, people who did and didn’t buy it alike.

Yeah a lot of people are coming in here with, “That’s not how the real world works” but I think they’ve just never tried to get a refund or had a store treat them with any humanity what so ever, and it honestly shows.

Because people just want to be bitter about MTX and cosmetic shame each other. I would wager if they adjusted something nearly everyone purchased, like the BP for example, they’d expect their share of a reimbursement though.

Oh absolutely. You are 100% correct.

Simply put… if you are someone that paid real money for these skins etc at the prices 343 are charging for them then you deserve to be ripped off.

Yes it is

I know, I’ve seen it, I was only joking about the Twitter thing before but I should’ve known better, it was a guarantee.

Guess we’re burying air now.

Hearts in the right place but there is a glaring issue here:

You chose to buy it as it currently is, even if you thought the price was a little steep, you choose to buy it then and had immediate access to it at that point onwards. You accepted the transaction as is, why should 343i go back and change it?

You had access to it before everyone else even if the price goes down in the future, paying more for something to get it immediately is a fair transaction.

This would also be a spicy hot take for “gestures of goodwill” or whatever we want to label it as, just read above again.

And doing this would open a whole new can of worms on the forums for players who feel cheated becuase of “X” or becuase “Y”

Progression is slowly becoming easier, should 343i look into reimbursements for players who bought their way on the season pass to? How? Should they also get credits? XP grants?

Finding a “good” solution for this issue clearly won’t be easy if some of the other comments are anything to go by.

Again, not a bad idea, but there are a lot of kinks to work through.

Listen I know who’n what I am, a flaming Social Justice Warrior. I ain’t hiding that.

Sure, just know 343i wants to fine tune these things and needs goodwill. Them doing this is noooooooot out of the question.

To be fair your a lot nicer than others have been.

They need to fix a lot of things but refunding people who were stupid enough to spend real money on video game skins is certainly not one of them :joy: its your own fault for buying them thats your decision! I dont understand why people would pay for lines of code thats all it is and its never cost money in previous halo games and shouldn’t in this one either! Its people like you that feeds these companies and keeps them thinking charging us is a great idea and they can make profit from it!

Nothing toxic about disliking the fact that you and others are contributing to the so called “screwing” of the player base by supporting the system with your purchases. You get what you deserve. :man_shrugging:t2:

Ok Joker

post must be 20 characters long

They’re not “screwing” anyone over, I will admit, I would prefer they didn’t support the system but as it currently stands:

The amount of backlash from the system is more than enough to warrant a change, after all, it’s not like they can sustain the game when only a 1/10th of the players are using the store regardless of how much they spend, nor do they want every news article making them look bad.

They might just genuinely like the game and want to support it once and still support store changes.

Being spiteful and providing literally no contributions to a conversation other than “Lmao, you suck” is literally the definition of toxic person, helps literally no one, and does literally nothing but make the community look bad.

Saying you don’t support the system and would like to see if changed in a certain way = good

Sending hate mail to people who might have used microsoft reward points, made a one time purchase for support, just really liked a certain cosmetic item = Not good, toxic, unhelpful.

TL;DR Edit: You don’t need to agree with OP, you don’t need to like them, I don’t agree with OP buying stuff either, but:

  1. Look around, there are already plenty of people who don’t agree, just say you don’t support the system and move on, OP purchasing things isn’t going to change anything when the public opinion is this unfavorable.
  2. OP already spent money and your hate still won’t change that.
  3. Saying you hate OP and providing nothing else doesn’t help 343i or make OP change their viewpoints
