I mean for store stuff, if they lower the price they may very will compensate so you want to buy more later.
I can see that happening. I mean digital games are sold full price and the drop over time, eventually get sold in collections, yada yada.
We shall see only time will tell
But I can tell you’re probably right. It only makes sense to lower prices on something you want to sell more of
High price kills high demand.
So that’s why they sell hazop for $20? They wanted to get bites off of the desperate?
I knew when I saw that ODST armor was $10 I thought hey I’m supporting the game and I get my cosmetic, win win
But $20? That’s a win lose situation
Art is worth what someone is willing to pay for it
Hey has anyone seen that South Park episode when Stan buys into micro transactions for some game? I gotta watch that one again, too funny
It occurs to me now that half of it isn’t waypoint appropriate. lmao. Honestly can’t do that.
EDIT: I will honestly take the lump on that call-out. Literally would not be in accordance with waypoint rules.
This would be nice.
I do not see this happening. It’s kinda like buying a new game for $60 and then expecting to get $20 back when the price drops after a month. But I will support this idea of getting money back on the off chance it works.
Fallout 76 does it, planetside 2 has done it twice for me.
Team fortress 2 useto do it.
Don’t forget it’s not 20 dollars for Hazop. It’s 20 dollars + the cost of the battlepass (10$) as hazop is a Mark V exclusive set. So it’s 30 dollars to technically equip hazop armor.
Want a camo hazop armor suit? that’s the camo bundle like 15 bucks? suddenly your hazop spartan is walking around costing only about 15 bucks less than the campaign with full unlocks would.
That south park episode is amazing. “Freemium isn’t free” its season 18 forget what episode number.
Oh yeah!
there’s so many price tags I’m all ready getting lost
R.I.P. hazop fanbase
I literally bought the damn thing for the shoulderpiece. I’m irate that my beloved MK V, CQC shoulders and Gungnir kneepads I have worn for a decade will all be in separate 20 dollar packs or something.
yeah dude it’s pretty ridiculous when you realize that to have a truly unique spartan it’s probably going to cost about the same as the campaign. aka dedicated fanbase ends up spending 120 for the same amount of content in the 60 dollar release.
like I said before bundling has always meant “cost saving” but they’ve turned it into cost gatekeeping.
Cost saving is never real.
We’re only talking about Spartans here, could you imagine if there were playable Elites?
That’s what I thought lol.
I mean, why not?
On the one hand, in a timeframe of a week between purchase and price cuts, I could see it happen. Over a week, no.
Initially I was going to say that at the time of purchase you accepted the price as it was and deemed you had the financial stability to handle it. Which kind of hold true.
But on the other hand, the system is set up to be subtly manipulative at its core to “trick” money out of the customers. And that’s not on you, but them. So reimbursing the difference would be quite in its place. Small purchase here and there do add up, and in the end when you think you have the means, they’re no longer there.
For me, it comes down to practically, is it impulse buying due to manipulation through implemented systems, and as such have somewhat of a spending problem which is exploited. Or, was it a casual purchase where no underlying problems were the cause of the purchase.
To be totally fair, there is precedent for them to reimburse people who made previously purchased content if they then reduce the price of it, as Epic have previously done exactly that in Fortnite
The ability to regret a purchase or to return an iten within a allotted time period is usually regulated by national laws. Based on a quick internet search, Directive 1999/44/EC and Directive 2011/83/EU do at least set up some minimal consumer rights across the European Union. However, as I’m not a lawyer, I cannot give any legal advice on how these directives should be applied, how they affect consumer rights and if there exist other directives or regulations of at least some importance in this matter.
I’ve been saying this exact thing to my friend who buys this stuff. If you stop buying the terribly priced cosmetics, then you’ll be able to EARN them or more likely, pay LESS. imagine if that 15 you spent on that one color instead was able to buy you 10 or 20 pieces of armor?
Cosmetic purchasers are clowns
@op it’s your very own fault. Deal with it. You knew what you were buying, the price.
Even if the price lowers down, at all you and all the others who bought stuff from the store shouldn’t get anything back.
It’s you and those like you who’s fault it is that cosmetic nowadays cost that much, that Halo cosmetics are locked behind a paywall and why they will not stop it.
Live with your bad decission.
